seriously you are right, but I think that even with the sacrifices he is making, he will still edge the other guy, not this year tho...I do think the only reason why the god isn't favourite for the award is because we didn't win the champions league coupled with his misfortune at the copa...Messi will always beat him to these awards provided we win the *biggest* trophies

I dont agree, Messi is viewed as the face of Barca. All of barca's success would be attributed to him. So far barca has a more successful season than the other team and Messi does well for barca, He would win the balon d'or.
