Mamas i hale o, happy weekend to you all.... i beg touch my matter o...My 8 months baby uses her chest to crawl rather than hands and leg i.e. she draws her chest on d floor. Please has any mother experienced this? Is there any way i can help her to crawl? Is it possible that she may not crawl at all till she stands? Please share ur view.

To each his/her own style,my brother did that and then walked without crawling, mum couldn't do Nada abt it.its uniqueness, the most important thing is that she'll walk afterall.

Hello Mamas.

What could be the reason why kids throw up? No temp, no cries, nothing. Today I watch my son closely and also ensure I am with with after feeding him. He don't throw up, could it be because of the way my helpers carry them?

Anyone in the house giving her baby sma pink, this particular one has pink body and it's made in ireland has more nutritional values than the sma gold.

Don't mix yet. Make them individually to make sure she isnt allergic or has any reaction to either before you make the mixed pap for her.

As for the milk, your pocket will determine as there are various good brand of follow-on milk out there. From Aptamil, nan, sma and cow & gate to name a few
Just dont bulk buy anything till you are sure your baby likes it.

Sorry about dis.

Does he take formulae or on ebf and for how long? Pls give him vit c, you should also take lots of oranges n water melon or an apple a day will redefine his poo.

You can avoid taking garri while treating it.

Do you use warm water to press his tommy (navel region)? Use warm water to press his tommy and anus, this helps my kids to poo too, I do this for them when I don't see them poo in a day or two and also soften poo.

Always take fruits.

Fenugreek seeds contain hormone precursors that increase milk supply. Scientists do not know for sure how this happens. Some believe it is possible because breasts are modified sweat glands, and fenugreek stimulates sweat production. It has been found that fenugreek can increase a nursing mother's milk supply within 24 to 72 hours after first taking the herb. Once an adequate level of milk production is reached, most women can discontinue the fenugreek and maintain the milk supply with adequate breast stimulation...

Abeg mamas help me o. Just bought this Huggies Snug & Dry, I just want to try it. Molfix and Angel have been excellently purfect....no issues at all. But I just want to try this. I opened the pack and it looks like this. I don't like this colour o.
Abeg mamas that have used it, is this what it looks like?
Or is something wrong?
Is there an expiry date somewhere, couldn't find any?
Should I throw it away?
Should we use it like that?
Is it bad?

Dunno. It looks like mildew or something with particles or chemical staining. I wouldn't use it if it were me.

Sad to say, but I've noticed our Nigerian brand of diapers don't have good quality control. I've used Huggies and decided to try Pampers. The white S&P inside the diaper to trap the wetness crumbled. It was in Baby E's bum every morning and one morning, we woke up to find it all over the bed and she had developed a rash. So we went back to cloth diapers during the day and Molfix (which I've figured has a sizing issue but is pretty decent) or imported Huggies at night.

Thanks dear. I'll throw it away. It hurts o. Enough of trying different stuff jare. I had zero issues with Molfix. We use maximum of 4-5pcs per day, out of curiosity I wanted to try Huggies cos I've heard so much about it.

It may be from his socks and shoes. Sun dry the shoes and socks. Ensure his socks aren't damp when he wears them. there are anti fungal powders you can use to treat athlete's foot see a reputable pharmacy or your Dr!

Huggies isn't produced in Nigeria. From the picture she put up i'd say it's a fake product. Such a shame nonetheless!
where do you source cloth diapers please?

Aliexpress, Amazon and some lady in Nigeria used to sell them, Google Rumperooz in Nigeria. But try and decide which style you want: All-in-one, All-in-two. All-in-one means you need more diapers compared to Ai2. If you're going to creche, get Ai1 because it's like a regular diaper. Also get a diaper bag, that they can store dirty diapers in tikk washing (so no smells). Also get cloth wipes (may as well do so since you're using cloth diapers) and the whole bargain become a cheaper (we haven't bought disposable wipes this year and I can reuse them for other children, plus they are gentler on baby skin). I should do a post on cloth diapers o, with pics and breakdowns (if I'm not lazy).

The Pampers I bough days produced in Turkey and I think Huggies is same, so maybe it's made for African market. But the quality is very different than made for other markets.

Congrats on your baby, btw smiley

Picture below shows the type of dirty diaper bag I use (same brand but different pattern. Below is a picture of my cloth wipes, made myself, used since birth and still going strong (just a bit faded from drying under our harsh sun). You can use it with either plain water or diaper solution (I added senrenren to mine). It's not stressful at all and surprisingly, a lot of doctors approve of my system. When people ask why I don't use disposable wipes, well I use cloth diapers so they save me money and disposable wipes are actually drying. Proof is to use your baby wipes to clean your face daily for a week. You'll notice it (wipes have alcohol in them to evaporate off the skin faster and try and counter the effect by adding an oil sometimes). So sometimes, some wipes with fragrance and that alcohol tend to make certain rash situations worse.
