Isn't that what Soludo wanted to do during Obasanjo's tenure? They won't allow CBN do that, it won't see the light of the day. So you want trillionaires to become millionaires right? Gunbiz: |

onatisi: My point of view exactly...you do a paypal transaction, you use escrow, it goes well...seemingly. 6months later, charge back is made, either cos that was the seller's plan all along, or he was paid for a gig that wasn't executed or poorly executed and knowing he wasn't going to execute the gig, had the money paid directly to you instead; paypal decides against you...what happens? Or you buy $, cash, paid into your US Bank account, only to have your account blocked 2months later, that the police came calling in respect of the deposit because you are either being accused of collecting money and not delivering the goods, or that depositor is a known felon and had been on the watch list...how escrow go epp? |

Gunbiz:I never said Nigerians will stop importation totally but the cost of importing and selling will be far out of the reach of many Nigerians . Look at these e currency thread, how many deals have u seen advertised within the last 4 days ?? This is because the sellers too finding it difficult buying e currencies because the cost of the ones they sold is far below the present cost now . What Nigerians and mostly Ibo guys are doing now is export. The services sector will boom because ppl will start bringing out old items they have abandoned to repair and use instead of buying new ones . 1 Like |

Ihavespoken: well that is strange , because anytime payoneer want to ban your account, they notify you ( but wont give you the reason ) and they will give you 5 days to move or withdraw your money, after that the block it and i agree with you on the bolded payoneer, paypal , skrill does that .. they know we cant do anything because of bad reputation , the reason why payoneer banned my first account is unknown to me till date neteller once banned me too until i provided all my documents and spam them with thousands of messages ( exaggerating ) if you go to paypal forum and see how a uk and usa citizen dey vex for paypal for account limitation, threatening them with lawyer updated .. now that i think about it i think onatasi is right, bitcoin is actually the safest ( at least for now ) 1 Like |

Bookiemart01:Many Nigeriana still dont get the severity of what is about to happen to Nigeria in 8 weeks time if she doesn't get a lifeline soon! The problem isn't about the currency but the economy, there is a lot of uncertainty in the air, nothing is stable, government keeps changing policies as if they are changing babies nappies ,no nation or business man wants throw his money into such an economy and that is what is fueling speculative buying and hoarding of dollars ,noone knows what can happen tomorrow. All the dullard needs to do is to douse the political tensions and automatically this will increase investors confidence in the nation economy |

As it is, escrow can't work for ecurrencies. The escrow isnt even safe asender he/she will be dragged into any issue that arises from the transaction. People only have to do their research before transacting with anyone on here. |

The Genesis of all of it is that policy banning deposit of foreign currency into dorm accounts. Banks were short of FX to meet the demands and those who had it placed premium on it. Mr president appears to have the most unintelligent group of economic advisers....non of their policy has worked yet. Lots of companies have left Nigeria already so I'm not surprised potential investors aren't coming. I hope he does something real soon. onatisi: |

Sadly, our government policies have made genuinefinancial service providers run from here... and citizens? We have made it worse... Like onatisi said, no serious investor will come here until we cleanup this economic mess....the only people we'll find are the ones who will exploit us. I dey go that Canadian visa thread biko.....Nigeria Don tire me Ihavespoken: |
