with the way most of y'all comments here, I am forced to think that you guys trade stock on a weekly basis. I always used to think that stock investment was something to be done for a long time say at least a year. I am a novice tho and i want to ask. if truly certain people here buy and sell stocks almost on a daily basis, how do you do it without boring your broker ? I believe your broker will be contacted every now and then to buy and sell on your behalf since its an active bizness for you, that must be a very tiring and cumbersome process for newbies to emulate. isn't it?
with any itrade platform you can buy and sell stock daily, that also make you a stockbroker on your own. When you have your own personal laptop and you open an account with morgan capital stockbroker, in the comfort of your home you can buy and sell stock in NSE market from monday to friday, between the trading hour of 10:30 am to 2:30 pm, morgan capital will only collect 0.625 when you buy and 0.925 when you sell.

This would have been a terrible result with the N34B Impairment charges...

Na just the Foreign Exchange Revaluation gain of N61B that saved them...

After the Euphoria, the bears will also feast on it.

I advise holders to take profit and wait to buy back at lower cost..

Imagine their N77B PAT without the N61B FX Revaluation gains plus N37.5B Impairments... shocked lipsrsealed

Would have been truly a woeful result....

Raising money for Access is to have a strong financial footing and to expand but not because they lack capital. Also they are not raising capital via equity holdings but through debt instrument.
If they're raising money for strong footing and expansion, they're needing money.
But your last point is well noted, which means their oustanding shares will not balloon out of control.

Yes.The last time they raised equity,it wasn't a complete success and thats why they opt for a special local instrument if I can recall from one of their previous press conference. So Access heading north is in the interest of their capital raising and with good result,I believe they can achieve it.

Well said. I created a stock pick model which brought UCAP to my attention last year. That model is still making money for me till today. There is a lot of hardwork to be done if one must make it big in this business. Many Nigerians are yet to discover the power of the stock market.
So tell us how to discover the power of stock market?

“It is our job as contrarians to catch falling knives, hopefully with care and skill. That’s why the concept of intrinsic value is so important. If we hold a view of value that enables us to buy when everyone else is selling – and if our view turns out to be right – that’s the route to the greatest rewards earned with the least risk.” - Howard Marks

Keep your money till you get the knowledge n skills required for trading, try demo trading, start with money you can afford to loose and build your portfolio slowly as you gain more experience and insight, create your own "stock market manual" that works for you. Cut your losses, important for wealth preservation.

Please gurus in the house. I have no job now and thins are extremely difficult for me as no one is ready to help me. That aside. I have about 5 stocks certificates in my file. I was adviced to turn them to cash. Please I urgently need help as I do not know how to sell and who to sell to. Please it's urgent as we have nothing to eat.

what happens if this cash you get from selling the stocks finishes, what next? Bruh, you can actually use this to get back on your feet again.

I feel for you because I know the present situation of this country. and believe me when I say at the end of a storm, there'll be sunshine. There's light at the end of the tunnel, your tunnel is just longer than most.

If you can make it through the night, there is a brighter day in the morning. You shall overcome.

Try to use the stocks you have to make money for the longterm.

God help us.

If the certificates are in your name, then take them to a stockbroker (the choice of a Broker will depend on the value of the stocks based on the prevailing market prices), a stock account(CSCS account) will be opened for you by the Broker. The Stockbroker will commence the dematerialization(you will be required to fill some forms, your Banker's confirmation of your signature will be required etc) of the certificates and your CSCS account will be credited with the stocks in electronic form at the completion of the process. It is only in this form that you can trade the stocks. I sincerely hope that some of the stocks have not been delisted.

I hope this helps. Thanks.
