You shut up my friend. Only a sick fellow like the ugly lunatic up there will inscribed the name of a seating president on a dog hoping his action will spark some sort of crisis. He should thank his star that the issue is handled in a civilized manner. Why didn't he inscribed ojukwu's name or any of his leaders cognomen on the said dog if he wants to show how miserable his life is?

You don't go about looking for trouble and when that trouble finally finds you, you begin to play the victim card. Maybe if he'd call his name buhari without inscribing buhari's name on the dog, just maybe nobody will have any problem with him. But what that sick fellow did is an 'act of provocation', a breach of public peace and an evil intention to instigate violence. Like I said earlier, he should thank his very tiny star that the authority stepped in to calm every boiling nerve down.

Again he should thank his 'very very tiny star'.

Most people commenting are missing something. I believe that man is being held in Police custody for his own safety. He foolishly named his dog after Buhari in an hausa-denominated area with tons of Igbos.

If he is released today, he would be murdered ASAP. Once this happens, there would be ethnic tension in the community with atacks and reprisals on both sides of the ethnic divide. This was the same thing that happened in 1966.

Let them make arrangements to relocate him out of that vicinity for his own safety. Then, the police may release him.

A man named his goat Jonathan, inscribed it on the goat and paraded the goat with the inscription during Jonathan's regime and he was wasn't apprehended.

That guy is an idiot. If he had denied this in the first minutes of entering police station and ask somebody to kill the dog, he would have been a free man by now.

Well this is not democracy we've been celebrating. And if such person being grant by the National house of assembly to pass law at is own will, well sorry to say, Nigerians will have to be re-colonized to experience freedom.

[size=16pt]This is a misplaced priority by the Hausa Fulani Hegemonist. Why is the Buhari administration refusing to prosecute his fulani herdsmen that are killing farmers in benue, plateau, taraba, enugu, delta and other parts of Nigeria.

Buhari just turn blind eyes.

It is this trivial issue that Buhari is using federal authority to embarass this young man.

The Nigerien who is at the centre of the issue what is the Nigerian immigration doing about his immigation status. If you look closely this Nigerien must have crossed through Nigerian porous border illegally. But the federal government choose to ignore this fundamental issue and then went for the trivial issue.

Why did the federal government especially Buhari refuse to speak when Pastor ( Mrs ) Eunice Olawale was killed by Northern islamist.

I'm not really against naming a dog buhari', that is your cuppa.. But parading' your Buhari' dog in the midst of our northern brothers is no doubt attempting to cause another mayhem in Ogun' state..

You know they don't take things like this lightly. And if the kerfuffles' starts now, innocent people will mostly be the victim including your brothers in the north.

For the reason, we should always apply sense to whatever we are doing and always know the attitude of people for who they are so as for peace to reign. Yoruba will say, "mo iwa fo'ni wa ni mu ore jore" you can use Google translate it sha.

The judge should jail you for 2month pere' angry
Next time you won't try to cause havoc on the society.

I rest my case.

Court!!!

his safety as how? Are they blood sucking demons or what? Why can't Buhari tell them that there is nothing wrong in naming a dog after his name. To be honest, this is absurd. I really wonder what will happen if nollywood decides to act a movie about Buhari' administration, it then means that blood will flow like a river.

In Nigeria, only the north has a monopoly of violence. An average foreigner reading this thread would be erroneously led to believe everybody is in awe of northerners like these hordes of afonjas.
That country has no possible future.

Let me give you this example. If a 'Blackman' inscribed the name of any Mexican leader on his pet and stroll with the pet in a Mexican neighborhood, what do you think the Blackman's intention is? What do you think the Mexicans will do to the Blackman? And what do you think the authorities will do to him? There are just some things you don't just do even if that thing isn't against the law. You just don't do it for peace sake
