They forget that areas like East New York and Brooklyn-Bronx- also exist. I don't know what some people think New York is. Granted it is a modern city, however, it is not heaven! All vices and ills of the society that you can think of exist there. New York is like Lagos. You must be street smart otherwise the streets will consume you. As a New Yorker, just like a Lagosian, you think fast, easily detect danger and aware of your surroundings. You are hardly gullible. That is why most Lagosians can survive in any city in Nigeria. Unless that City is too dull.
