Let us hope that Buhari, Ogbeh and Kemi Adeosun will not reverse the laudable agricultural policies of the last administration that encouraged investors like Coscharis.
Thanks to Adesina and Jonathan.
Thank you sirs.

Adesina really made a great contribution to Agriculture in Nigeria, and of course thanks to Jonathan for appointing him.
Whilst I'm not a huge fan of Jonathan, I can't imagine if he had followed Buhari's example and appointed only his kinsmen, the likes of Adesina would never have seen the day of light. Professionalism and skills should take the upper hand when making critical appointments like these.

Why d hate? News from Lagos, Abuja, Ogun, Rivers, Bayelsa, Kaduna, Kano etc good or bad grace front page here quite regularly too.
It's still Nairaland because the last time I checked, Anambra is still in Nigeria.

Hate? far from it, I cant waste my precious time hating fellow humans. I just stated what I felt was the truth and to the objective minds, they will agree with me that I stated nothing but the absolute truth.

Good to know you admitted Anambra is in Nigeria, some anambrans and Easterners in general won't admit to that.

Hahahaha, I was taken aback reading some of their comments, instead of them to seek for information on how they can also establish such farm, no matter how small it might be, they were and still busy celebrating a little farm established by one village farmer in Anambra.

I think Seun and the mods will also need to explain to concerned nairalanders if Nairaland is now Anambraland because with the rate at which trash emanating from Anambra state gets to FP, it leaves one in wonderland.
Loools....Abi ooo
They tribalise everything at every slightest opportunity & its very sickening. Infact this forum is something else nowadays, nothing informative/educative again....Oga seun pls do smtin

This economic recession is the best thing that has happened to Nigeria. It has reset our brains and we have started growing our foods

As we grow our food, let us pray that the herdsmen won't destroy them. As it is now, farming is a high risk business in Nigeria.

so what has this thread got to do with afonjas . Why can't u engage in intellectual discourse without resorting to ethnic name calling. Abeg I don't want this thread to degenerate to d usual ethnic bashing. Let us engage in constructive discourse to move this great country forward. Thank u.

It's becoming tiring. We don't focus on issues any longer on nairaland, threads consistently seem to degenerate, it needs to stop. Thanks for pointing this out.

Labana rice from Kebbi state offloaded enough bags of rice in imo state and we did not see any body from that region bragging or even posting pictures of farms before then. These backward flattinos won't stop bragging and jubilating over things that other states have achieved quietly long time ago. Lie self esteem has finished their lives.

With all the pictures they are showing us they do not have enough rice to go round their region but have enough imaginary rice to export. Flattinos always looking for trouble everywhere they go

For all the bloggers constantly looking for topics, this is a niche they should explore. Start a blog solely focused on Agriculture - guides, requirements, timelines, logistics, implementation details, recommended sources, cost estimates etc on a product level, basically a hub where people can learn anything they need to know to get started.

Is Audu Ogbe, minister of Agriculture, Buhari kinsman? or Minister for trade and investment is from buhari's village?

If you arent aware, Jonathan appointed lot of his kinsmen into key positions, from Ministries to agencies, but it wasnt brought to the media like the few that Buhari appointed that Nigeria media turned into a funfare.

Of course I know Audu Ogbeh is not Buahri's kinsman, my point in case you missed it is that majority of the key appointments in this administration have been made on a tribalistic basis - and of course we can see where that has gotten the country.

You are wasting your time explaining to these people. They don't know and even if they know, they won't learn because they aren't good at learning.

Imagine him comparing A world renowned farmer, Audu Ogbe with Adesina.

World renown farmer is a limited description of one of the finest and most honest Nigerians ever.

A world renowned economist and a political head impactful during the early 80s in stabilising the Naira during uncertain times and ensuring we didn't buy the SAP idea the world bank sold to us before IBB came along and a thorn in the side of Abacha ; a founding father of PDP before all the thugs and killers filled it's ranks.

I think you are wrong, the problem here is that we term all indigenes of northern States as northerners but turn the opposite when referring to southern states which should consist of SW, SE and SS. If Buhari employs 2 men from Kogi and Kaduna, we all tends to cry that he has appointed 2 northerners but when he appoints 2 men from SW and SE, we separate the 2 men as being South, this is where the problem is.

And mind you, those he has appointed aren't the problem of present day Nigeria but Buhari himself (whom doesn't listen because he doesn't trust anyone. Don't get me wrong here, he is one of my political mentor) and the decayed Nigeria he took over. I'm so optimistic that the nearest future in this same Nigeria will please our hearts, starting from prices of foodstuffs crashing to the minimum to federal roads been constructed.

Please no critism or ridiculing any tribe here my Igbo brothers, I am Igbo with a Yoruba mum
Let's just celebrate the fact that each zone in the country should be looking at food suffiCiency, creating employment and keeping money in the country instead of spending 0ne billion spent daily to import rice of which that was just the official amount about 2/years ago
Let's celebrate kebbi, Ofada, abakaliki, anambra rice.
No beefing, no insultings, no tribal bashing, just money making, technological progress, saving foreign eclxchange, more jobs

NB; If You insult me, I will insult back seriously and go for the jugular , so please read respect Yourself and move on. Thank You

I still disagree but we are all entitled to our individual opinions, so that's fine.
Hopefully, the optimism will become reality and prices will actually crash (which I very much doubt), fingers crossed, we will see how it goes.

Those with objective minds would tell you that IBB government brought majority of the suffering Nigerians are going through till today.

Only someone with a broad heart accepts the fact that all humans are entitled to their opinions and they end up also respecting others opinions, which you also just did. Bring forth your neck let me place on it a gold medal, you deserve it and even more.

That said, just months ago, a basket of tomatoes was sold for upto 20k, that's for those that even saw it to buy in the market, but today the price has crashed to about 8k or so, this alone should tell you there is hope in the long run.

Thanks dude. We should talk moneymaking, economic solutions and recovery and less on tribe here. I have lived in all regions in Nigeria and worked and run packages with all tribes.
Each tribe has its own strengths and weakness but making generalisations is like an American calling every Nigerian a fraudster, drug dealer or starved person when there are still big balling businessmen, Medical doctors, highly paid nurses and professionals in Nigeria and in the developed world.
If Nigeria is together or Nigeria is split, let each region be making progress. When we all are balling, less beef and wahala. One Live. Make money not quarell

Igbos spearheaded by Anambra boys can survive even in the moon.
They know this and they are always bringing up bad policies to frustrate us.

Igbos are merchants and that is why they travel to places.
Bring a port to onitsha and majority will say goodbye to lagos.

Afonjas dey form owners of lagos but month end them go pay rent to Igbo landlords. lol

Afonjas over to you.
