Hello everyone, please I need some information for my little sister.
My little live in the uk and she have PERMANENT RESIDENCE CARD. Her boyfriend live in Italy and have 1 year Italian permit which he aways renew for the past 5 years.
My question is, will he need to write English language in Italy ( they planning their court marriage by few months time) before he can apply for spouse visa to join her wife to-be in th UK?
Is just the English test I want to know if he need it to apply as non eu who live in Italy.
I will appreciate every reply. Thanks

Hello Justwise,

Does it make any difference if you've been refused a US visa which you were later given, can you now go ahead with the priority visa or no?!..

Thanks

You were refused and you reapplied and was given?

Yes I was initially refused a US visa and I reapplied a week after with some extra documents and I was given...

So can I now apply for the Priority visa or its not advisable?

Thanks

Does your husband have relatives in the uk to initially setup with?
Yes my husband has relatives in the UK, 2x uncles, but not to help us, we did everything ourselves, I made sure I was adequately accommodated etc, one of his uncles is in the Royal Navy so is away alot
Or is he travelling to the uk with the kids on a wing and a prayer?
No kids prior to travelling...just one baking now smiley
Or has funds for initial relocation associated cost?[/quote]
Funds for relocation? I paid his flight to the UK, as did i with all visa costs and I set up our home about 10 months before he arrived in UK. I told him just to bring himself, and what he may need here i.e. police criminal record check, papers from school and clothes, and most importantly family photos from Nigeria

The rule clearly stated and i quote: 'If you have been previously refused a visa for Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the USA or a Schengen country.'

I guess that answered your question?

He is not educated but does know how to read and write. Secondary level he got to. Does he need English as he live in EU STATE with Italian RESIDENCE permit? Thanks.

Thanks dear. Did you submit the original or photocopy if the affidavit and newspaper publication? Did you submit it at TLS Nigeria or as it sent to Sheffield.
newbie715:

Submission of evidence of change of name depends on your documentation, do you have some documents in your maiden name and some in your marital name? If yes, then I strongly advice you do. I had all my documents in my maiden name then my passport in my marital name as I renewed my passport just before the application.

Evidence should be some or all of: marriage certificate, affidavit of name change and newspaper publication of name change. I submitted all 3.

Hi Guys

Today makes 90 days since my husband and I submitted his settlement visa. The last update I received was a decision is being delayed pending further enquiries. I contacted my local MP who said on Monday that he has submitted a formal enquiry.
Does anyone on the forum have any suggestions. I keep calling the visa enquiry number they're charging me like £10 a call and still no update sad stressful times...Would just like a response now. My husband left London for Nigeria in December we applied 20th April for his settlement visa. I wish I had applied so as he left!!

Both originals and photocopies, just as with other documentation. I didn't submit them at TLS, they were sent straight to Sheffield with other supporting documents and the originals were returned as expected when the visa was issued.

Good evening

the address is:
International Operations and Visas
6 Millsands
Vulcan House
Sheffield
S3 8NU
United Kingdom

also note:
The documents should be arranged in this order:
-1 Application form and Appendix 2, English language evidence;
-2 Relationship documents
-3 Maintenance documents
-4 Accommodation documents.
If documents are not received a decision will be taken on the basis on the information that has been provided.

This is what is on the emails my husband received, and where I sent my supporting evidence, as the sponsor for my husband smiley

Contacting your MP will be very helpful and it will help you get the important information you need.

Congrats Bros! you will have to pay a new IHS Payment and new tb test. What was the reason for the refusal? ours was the eco not satisfied relationship was genuine and subsisting. I have provided loads of additional evidence to proof this. Im hopeful ours will be overturned soon.

The same reason they refused my wife, they said that apart from marriage cert that there was no further evidence to prove that the marriage has taken place whilst I sent our wedding photos and they lost them and other documents. I sent a lot. However i sent all the document I sent to them and more and contacted my Local MP.

I was sent this e-mail below last 2weeks 19th of august 2016 and on the 22nd I received my passport and my visa was granted after 10 years of seeking for UK visa.

Subject: Your Visa Application : VAF ******
Dear my name

Regarding Visa Application:  GWF*********

Hi Everyone,

I don come back again o. Abeg.

A quick one. Is it possible to use a newly rented apartment for the accommodation requirement? No bills yet. Just the tenancy agreement and letter from landlord granting spouse permission to live in the house. The reason for this is time. We are really pressed for time and planning to even do priority.

Another one. Is it necessary to have property inspection for a 2-bedroom house solely occupied by wife and daughter?
