using Nigeria as a case study I have come to a conclusion that chemical engineering is the most challenging engineering department in any Nigeria university, tho last week a friend of mine whose elder bro studied electrical engineering didn't agreee to my supposed conclusion so I decided to hear from you guys,am sure I have alot of engineering students here in nairaland so I am hopeful to get convince if my prediction ain't worth it....Thank you. 1 Like |

it depends on the particular school in question. in most engineering faculties mechanical engineering is the toughest. it all depends on the combo of lecturers in d dept and also on a students ability cos wat u term difficult may not b same to another. my 2 cents 4 Likes |

Mets and mats, from heresay, sounds like the most difficult, pet & gas, chem was referred to as the simplest. But it varies from school to school. |

I think Mechanial Engineering is relatively tougher than other engineering departments. Chemical and Elect-elect engineering usually produce the best graduating student. I've never heard of any Nigerian school where a Mech student was the best graduating student. 1 Like |

my brother,I did civil engineering but I can confirm that chemistry was a very tough subject back in secondary school so I can imagine someone studying it as an engineering ,so I give it to chemical then next civil then maybe mechanical 1 Like |
