The pop star is being reported to have signed a global deal with Sony Music, a deal similar to that signed by his Nigerian music counterpart Davido.

“Wizkid’s new deal with Sony is a done deal, the News should be out couple of days,” the source says.

The source also confirms that when the news is made official, “Wizkid will be in the same building as Davido at Sony Music’s New York office”.

Wizkid joins Davido who became the first African artist to sign a global recording deal with Sony BMG.

The singer who topped the Billboard Hot 100 charts with his Drake ‘One Dance’ collaboration recently headlined a concert – One Africa Music Fest, held at the Barclays Center in New York. U.S.A, where he held it down performing together with ace producer Swiss Beatz.
This marks another significant milestone for the singer as he guns for world domination with his music.
