When we told some people that there is nothing wrong with hawking they were busy throwing tantrums The governor killed it with the bolded “Prohibiting hawking is to tell a man that you don't want to give him food, and you don’t also want him to steal, it is unfair thats 100% correct, there is nothing wrong with hawking both morally and legally and even socially...i know some nairalanders here dont earn up to 5k a week ut then imagine a hawker who sells atleast 500 galas in a day in the traffic will be making 500× 50= 25000 Naira....lets say his capital is 15,000 naira he still has 10,000 gain....then 10,000×30=300,000 naira a month; assuming you slash the money by even half he still has 150,000 naira gain..thats by far more than what most civil servants earn yet some people will open their dirty mouth to yan dust. hawking is better than stealing infact hawking is a business if you think hawking is better than pushing drugs in Indonesia and getting killed click 'like' 73 Likes 3 Shares |

It is high time Intelligent,Patriotic Youths with the interest of Nigerias growth at heart start getting involved. We can't leave the state of Nigeria in the hands of this same criminals we keep recycling.Lets join together and take back our country. Imagine 100,000 youths contribute 50,000 that's already 5 billion naira enough for campaign among other things. We can either assemble a strong force or Join a notable party with the interest of the Nation screened by us. Enough of the Nairaland compalaining and social media rants. Lets get to work youths of Nigeria. The power is in our hands.Lets Restructure the Fiscal federalism of this Nation and Make it great. Note:- By youths I don't mean small minded, corrupt, tribalistic, visionless youths To gain more insight on this please go through this thread https://www.nairaland.com/3274457/calling-all-nigerian-youths 11 Likes 3 Shares |

Then what happens to d billions wasted in building Tinapa. If everyone were to hawk nobody will hire those shops and d government will obviously have poured water down a draining pipe. If this bill see d light of day then common road side stall will find it difficult to operate. 9 Likes 1 Share |

A tale of two governors: "“We are making provisions for a hawkers’ corridor. There must be a minimum age, you must be 18 and they must be seen to be properly dressed with reflective vests. They must have a time zone of when they come out, so as to be able to make optimal sales because we don’t want them to constitute nuisance in the environment.” - Prof. Ben Ayade “The issue is we need to enforce our laws because we already have a law in respect of that and then there is a clause in it which says the buyer and the seller are both liable and that we are going to fine them either N90, 000 or a six month jail term." Can somebody please tell me if these governors on seat are either elected or selected? I can officially say that Governorship position in Nigeria is an entry level position as anybody who is wealthy with or without ideas or true source of wealth can attain the position. Street hawkers are a big distraction to road users, commit crime also by robbing roads users (run away with bread change) and causes unnecessary traffic. No sane government will permit this as it also promote child abuse and rascality in youths. I thought a prof with hair cut like that of the civil defense man in my street will bring real transformation to CR, but I guess I was wrong. Well it's a way of saying "during my tenure I provided jobs for the youths in form of hawking gala, chin chin, kpekere, screen wipers and cutlass". WEREY.. 4 Likes |

Different strokes for different states. Unless alternatives are provided, hawking shouldn't be banned. 4 Likes |
