There is no point raining curses on this man. He like so many Nigerian men and women needs help about parenting. A man that probably grew up insulted abused daily and then became apprentice to another mechanic that insults him and throws things at him for each infringement knows nothing else but to commit atrocities like this over the only person that he has control over. He needs help on parenting and training but in jail, then he needs to do community service before he can even see his daughter again.

I totally agree with you and I can also bet with my last Naira that the little girl is not the mechanic's daughter. I implore the Lagos state government to carry out a DNA test to check this out. I want to also suggest that DNA be made a routine check in our maternity hospitals throughout Nigeria. A lot of men are not the biological fathers to the children they are nurturing.

Take it or leave it, this is been caused by current hardship in the land, fuse set of prophet can still lie to him that his Daughter is the cause of his predicament

Some of these artisans like Carpenters, Mechanics, bricklayers are themselves victims of immense child abuse, because many of them are beaten with very hardwood on their knuckles and given other horrendous punishment each time their bosses feel angry with them. I know of a particular one who was given such knuckle treatment and many years after, in the University ( thank God he abandoned.the apprenticeship), he was still complaining of pains in the knuckle, especially during periods of intense academic writting like during exams.
While not excusing the evil act of the mechanic, the practice of sending young boys to such apprenticeship needs review by the social welfare people because many of those boys turn out to be wicked and heartless adults due to the emotional trauma and pain they passed through in their youth. The pains they suffered earlier on, they now inflict on their own apprentices, children and wards.
Thus the vicious cycle continues.
