I will advise you to be careful of what you are changing when fill your ds160 because that could add more insult to the injury. There are ways you could add to your changing but do not over hype your changes because those VO can think both positive and negative as well.

Just pray for God's Favour, Grade and Mercy and you will surely get it in your next interview only if you believe.

YES I BELIEVE. Thanks sir

VO: Looks at me and says…this is a very corrupt country,..said so many bad things…and conclude by saying….if youre really passionate about getting your higher degree, look out for other countries…next applicant window….

VO: okay but I’m sorry your visa cannot be processed……
Me: sir, maybe you should have a look at the letter I came with
VO: No,…next applicant window….

5th attempt
LAGOS EMBASSY

I regretted why I never went to lagos from the first application. I just loved the Lagos setting. MEANWHILE, I changed my status to married. I had a marriage certificate I had prepared with stamp and everything.

VO: Where are you going to?
Me: University of Bridgeport, Connecticut
VO: For?
Me: my masters degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering
VO: What did you study in your undergrad?
Me: Electrical/Electronics Engineering
VO: So I’ve seen here that your school gave you an academic merit award of $3,000. Why?
Me: because I had good grades in my undergraduate results
VO: So why did you come here? Why not Abuja?
Me: I wanted going there but the dates available in Abuja was too close to the resumption date so I had to schedule it here
VO: I can see here too that you’ve changed your sponsors to your parents. Why didn’t they sponsor you at first?
Me: I have a scholarship so my parents are capable to pay the rest of the expenses
VO: what does your parent do?
Me: my dad is a professor of music, he lectures in the university, while my mum is a lecturer in physics department in the same university
VO: So do you have the prove of the scholarship?
Me: yes ma..(gave her a printed mail from the scholarship body plus a scanned letter from them…the letter even stated that I have 3months to send the account details of the school I need the money to be paid to)
VO: What do you do?
Me: I work in a ….
VO: Did you apply to other schools?
Me: yes….named
VO: so why this school?
Me: this school offers the particular course I want to major in
VO: which is?
ME: Green energy systems
VO: How did you find the school?
Me: I used google search and applied to all the four schools I found.
VO: Sorry your visa cannot be…..
Me: leaves immediately

What can you suggest I do in my next application as I’ve deferred to spring? I really need to get back to school to further. Will having the money in my account atleast one month before the interview cause any positive effect? Cos from their rejections, it seems they have a serious doubt about my capability to fund my education but that’s the least problem to me cos the money is there, though not in my account or my parents’. What can you advise guys? God bless y’all

Why Bridgeport? This is a low ranked school with little or no effort to get in. They even tempt you by saying they will give you half tuition. I used to live in New Haven, Connecticut. There are far better and cheaper schools than a low ranked university in Connecticut and the USA at Large.

Really? Truth is, that's the first school google showed me and i applied to it. I checked if it was accredited and saw that it was. I had someone who applied to the same school and had her visa approved, she has just resumed. I'm not sure if its school issue. I think its about what i fill in my DS 160 and my responses at the interview and that's what i need to work on. That's where i need help. Can you recommend another school for me that is still accepting student for the spring semester? i'll appreciate that too. my intended course is M.Sc in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.

God bless you

Okay. I will post all my transcript here,...A change could mean having more money right? Yes I have made more money to fund my studies, another change could be that i'm now applying to resume in the spring session. In the 5th interview i even had to change my marital status to Married, still it didnt work for me,...the lady didnt even mention that...and now i'm faced with the confusion of whether to maintain my status as married or to return to my normal single state in my next application....Definitely a tough time for me cos this School has got everything i want and i fell in love with it a long time ago,....to reconfigure my mind to accept another school or another country other than the US could be vain.

So, you mean without the US, your future is in jeopardy? Don't talk like that.

Also, I can see that you are somewhat desperate which VOs had noticed.

PM me later. I would like to talk to you if you are sincere.

Sorry about your delay and you have work to do and don't give up because if you work on your lapses you will end up getting the visa..

My own opinion

I wish you can defer you admission of possible till fall 2017 (I guess it's hard for you to do) and work on your lapses.

It is obvious that with your delayed transcripts you gave similar and simple answers to why the school, why the course, how do you know about the school, what do you do and how you got your scholarship from the school and other source.

Also all your answers are of the same pattern, the way you talk about how you got your scholarship both from the school and other source it's not well organized or stated at and you need to restructure them all because you are apply for a master degree and the level of your response must be unique in your next interview from all the previous interview..

In additional the way you are trying to give or present all those documents to VO also add to it because when VO didn't ask for documents and you trying to show and use it to prove to them usually tagged applicant in another way of enticing them in order to get the visa or in for of desperation.

I guess..... your answers lies the main issue, your 5th attempt the answer of why that school falls very short. U need to go into more detail and sound intelligent in other to catch the Vo attention..... ... so for now , you need to relax , take all the feedback given and work on it and be properly ready

Also u are beginning to change your ds160 story too much from sponsorship to martial status , all that will smell desperation and brings additional scrutiny ....... just take a deep breath. Chill first and work on your answers. Also please and triple please no more changes to your ds 160 ....the change lies in your response

After many denials, the VOs' eyes would be more on what has changed in your application since your previous interviews. Unfortunately, what has changed is something that can cause you another visa opportunity..... Inconsistencies can kill.

Read back in this section, then go and find part 9 and read that
Then you will have learnt much about USA visits and visa.

Also go to the US visa site and read everything there.

If you ask me I would say for me SAT should be fine but don't forget those schools required that anyone that English is not his first language must show a prove of proficient in English language. This is why it's advisable to do the TOEFL, most especially the undergrads.

However, you can always write your choice schools for a waiver, you might have a strong point.[/quote
