Wadeoye: It's impossible in foreseeable future going by the recent political miscalculation of Igbos. Rochas Okorocha would have emerged Buhari's running mate if not for obvious hatred shown by Igbos against Buhari and in extension Okorocha that made APC go Southwest for VP. Our next set will still be North President with Southwest or South south VP. Ndigbo should first regain the trust of Nigerians especially Northerners who are majority before we think of producing President. 3 Likes 1 Share |

ificatchmodeh: Jonathan was misled by wrong advicers. Had he listened to Obasanjo not to contest 2015 elections he would have achieved more and corruption would have been less under him. Much of Jonathan's failure and waste was in connection to plans of contesting and winning 2015 elections which people like me knew it was impossible for a Southerner to win. The North has higher population but had ruled for only 2 years out of 16. The entire world powers US, UK and France were aware of agreement to rotate Presidency and openly showed their support for power to move North. Jonathan should have used his 5 and half years in power to prove a point but he was overwhelmed by the taste of power. |

Abagworo: Keep on deceiving yourselves with silly lies and propaganda against Igbos. Igbos no longer need anybody's trust. Take the presidency, political posts and Nigeria and shove them down your smelly asses. There's no group that can be said to be more Nigerian than the Igbos. No ethnic group like Igbos truly embraced Nigeria in totality by sojourning in every nook and cranny, and even remote recesses of the country, living and building business empires and adding value to the local communities and assimilating the cultures of other nationalities. What do the Igbo Nation get in return - hatred, destruction of businesses and death? What then do you want from igbos ? Over the decades Yorubas and Hausa-Fulanis have proven to have voted along tribal lines. But not so with the Igbos. At those times Igbos built ties, formed alliances and voted for Northerners (Shagari - 1979, Yaradua - 2007), Yorubas (Abiola - 1993, Obj 2x - 1999 & 2003) and Ijaw (GEJ - 2007) to enable them get the presidency even at the expense of Igbo men. That's an indisputable fact! Yorubas had the presidency for over 11years with Obj ruling in the democratic dispensation 1999 to 2007 (8 years without breakage) When Ojukwu contested in 2003, how many Yorubas and their Northern masters voted for him? How many votes did the Northern Muslims give GEJ in 2011 and 2015? Who has complained about that? Igbos are now being labelled as tribalist for not voting for CHANGE disguised as CHAIN in 2015. "...we have millions of millions of Igbos residing with us in our homes, in our towns, in our states, very peacefully, very industrious, helping our communities and our economy to grow..." - SULTAN OF SOKOTO, Nov 23 2015 “Any state government that ignores the Igbo does so at the risk of its economy. It is in this wise that I appointed a high powered official in my government from the Igbo community to liaise between me and the community.” - Governor Gabriel Suswam of Benue State 9 Likes 2 Shares |

[s] 39xtr90r:[/s] Stop your silly lies and propaganda. How many Igbo's voted for Ojukwu when he contested for president under Apga? You guys overlooked him and expect other region to support him. Charity begins at home. Buhari had major support in the north before working with the southwest to win presidency. Can that be said of Ojukwu in 2003? No one hates igbos. We love them and gave them the chance to thrive in our regions after the civil war. Awolowo gave them 20 pounds each in 1970 to restart life Which is a big amount today when converted. Abagworo:I don't agree with you on gaining the trust of other Nigerians. We've been hearing this poo since the time of Alex Ekwueme. Stale nonsense is what I call it. What trust was lost before that hasn't expired since almost 46 years now. Even after forming OPC and agitating to form a Yoruba nation after the onslaught of Abacha on the west, were the Yorubas sidelined from being picked as President in 1999? The Ijaws took up arms against the federal government, was Jonathan sidelined from emerging vice-president and president? I repeat the only remedy that can douse Nigeria's breakup is Igbo presidency. You can take that to the bank. Postponing the quest for an Igbo presidency is postponing the evil day. 4 Likes |
