while Payer ID is for individuals (and can be obtained from either LIRS or any participating bank - UBA, Wema, Access, Zenith)

It is important you let them know if you have worked in Lagos before. Your name and payer ID might already be on the system.

If it isn't, the LIRS or bank staff should guide you on what steps to take.

I'd suggest you go through the bank though. Some of those LIRS staff might wanna exploit you.

All businesses carry different success risk (High-Med-Low), this Uber one is High risk at Low profit-bad combination.(should be High to High, Low to Low).

The biggest mistake we make in Nigeria is ignoring analysis! U mean I must do Uber trial-and-error to qualify to assess it? What can I say, when even our Buhari doesn't even believe in analysis.....imagine, he said we have to let the economist to have their way, after 14mths!!

Your tax clearance card is evidence that you are a registered tax payer and it should have your payer ID on it.

As per the road worthiness issue, your car is registered as a private car so get a private road worthiness paper.

Concerning the VIO, you will only enter into their trouble if you use your mouth to tell them you are Uber. Technically you are not a staff of Uber so when they ask you are you Uber just tell them no.

Just wanted to give an update on this. For your driver not to run into issues with vio, the correct road worthiness to get is that of Car Hire Service which costs only 2,000 and is renewable every 6 months.

I want to believe you are kidding. Hehehe. Your rating can never be 5.0 again, let alone being 5.2. Uber uses a cumulative point averaging system. So once you have any one rider rating of less than 5, it is bye for a 5.0 rating. After a lot of 5stars rating though, you could get close to an overall rating of say 4.99. Remember how CGPA is being calculated in most unis? It's pretty much thesame here.

If you are talking about weekly rating though, you could have 5.0 ( never 5.2) in a particular week if all riders you picked rated you 5 stars each.

If your post was for laff sha, then thanks for wasting my valuable time trying to explain.lol

Uber does not accept any car older than 2009 so you need another car. You determine what you earn. While it is possible to earn N150,000, it is also possible to earn N40,000 per week. You own your own destiny. If you work hard, you can earn N100,000 after Uber with N30,000 fuel and N10,000 for toll/data/car wash and you can keep N10,000 for car maintenance/servicing/repairs. The balance N50,000 is yours if you drive yourself and the car is yours. If you maintain the car well and become more frugal, you will save some part of the N20,000 and earn more. The best is to drive the car yourself if you can. Full time of course. The second best is to get a driver to drive the car full time. Part time is off it.

The 2 bolded statements, seem to conflict with each other. I have a 9-5 job and a vehicle that would ordinarily qualify (2013 Kia Rio less than 40,000kms), but I might only be available for Uber rides on weekends only, as I have no plans to quit my full-time job. This will be more of a weekend side-hustle thing, so I reckon a net monthly profit of N50,000 - N60,000 is enough for me. So are you saying I can't achieve this driving just part-time/weekends only?
