Dont rush to re-apply, order for ur GCMS file first, there's enof time for u to re-apply for ur TRV. Don't just conclude on the reasons ticked here, there's more to it nd only ur GCMS file can show what the real reasons are
iamosamede55:

I wouldn't knw why nairaland js nt opening on my laptop, telling too many riderects. So i just decided to copy the reason of refusal.

whether the person has been accepted to study at a Canadian educational institution;
• the information in the travel and identity documents;
• the person’s ability to pay for the trip, to pay tuition fees and to support himself or herself while in Canada;
• whether the person is likely to respect the conditions of his or her admission to Canada;
• whether the person is inadmissible to Canada; and
• whether the person would be likely to leave Canada at the end of his/her autho

I disagree on this, it even clearly stated on cic website, u can inform them on any change in Designated Learning Institute, early this year a moniker here used a college for her application to get her TRV, when she got to Canada she went to another school because the acceptance letter of the school came so late and she wanted to meet up hence she applied using the college admission.

There are two stages of study permit (1) Approval and (2) issuance. Study permit is APPROVED by the embassy and ISSUED at port of entry.

You can change your school AFTER you have landed in Canada and your study permit has been ISSUED at the point of entry. If you changed your school after approval but BEFORE entry to Canada (issuance), you'll NOT be issued a study permit at port of entry, you'll have to reapply. - LM

Thanks. current employment letters were attached and a welk detailed resume

Bros, I thought you submitted on Aug 3rd? Is this your first application?
Try opening the file on your PC or tab, it wont open on your cell-phone. Those things you stated are not the reasons for denial.

You can change DLI anytime after your TRV has been approved. As long as both are Post Secondary Institutions. You only need to notify cic via your online account.

After your study permit has been ISSUED. - LM
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 11 by thesoj: 7:01pm On Sep 01, 2016
@andre99 is correct. You can change your school after approval (and before entry into Canada) by notifying CIC online through changing your DLI. There have been at least two people in one of the older parts of this thread that did just that. Another way to do this is to change school at the port of entry.

Hi Nairalanders... I have been going through the threads and it has helped me a lot. I currently have a 5 yr TRV and I have just come back from a visit to Canada My son is in York Uni. I would like to go to school for a masters but I fall behind the requirement. I already have an MBA from uk and to apply for PHD I need GRE 2:1 which I don't have. And Also MBA is hard to translate to PHD. I would like to know if I can get a 1 year graduate diploma and argue in my SOPThat I need it for my work which I actually do and will help me back my application for PHD as its a research diploma. Sorry for long ranting na the age..Lol. Has anyone been successful by this route.

This is what you need to do...When filling out the necessary information to link your account, fill all information correctly and omit answering the section that asks for place of birth.....then submit ...The system should find your application, then you can link it...Let me know if it works

I did just as u said.. But it won't go through as they are being marked with red.. I have to answer it.. By I can submit..

Any more ideas?

Don't select the options that requires application number or UCI number. You only use these options when you already created an online application or linked an application previously but you lost your GCKEY and then you're trying to link back your existing application.

For fresh application, Select the option that requires just your place of birth, date of birth, passport number etc.

It's even simple, we like complicating matters, having changed ur DLI without informing them on ur myCIC account, and u av paid ur school fees to the new skool with the receipt with u at the POE, the immigration officer at the POE will gladly print out ur study permit and tell u to enjoy ur stay in Canada.

How much is your tuition? It seems the vo thinks the financial burden is too much for your sister and is not convince she will provide the required fund for you. the problem might be with the letter of sponsor where she needs to state why she is willing to commit such amount to your study plan. Your best bet will be for your sister to transfer substantial amount into your account. your chances are very bright with your master admission. reapply quickly and all the best

You actually can, but I think it will be better if you apply alone first using your child and wife as your home ties to convince the V.O. after your TRV, you wife and son can as well move to join you.

My sister is my sponsor. Though she is married but i included her marriage certificate to show proof of relationship, and her contract agreement showing her annual salary of £105k and substantial payslips. I will probably get my uncle to act as a co sponsor, hope it won't complicate my application? , though she does not have any dependant relative, and tell her to draft a sponsorship letter stating why she wants to sponsor me. My tuition is $24k plus cost of living , room and board makes about $37k. I will appreciate if you csn give me directions on requesting for cgms file.

Using your cousin who resides in Canada and also a citizen shouldn't be a red flag to your application. And as regard your home ties, so long you have a strong ties such as families, investment, good employment prospect....you should good. #my humble opinion#
