Henry240: No sentiments here dude, am just wowed by that amount, what if Nigeria is not a oil producing state. What about other expenses on military vehicles, repair and maintenance, every bomb and rocket fired and drop ed on BHT, logistics...etc. the list is endless. And yet the present CAS is still doing a lot on infrastructure, bringing back old inserviceabled hardware back to life and training of airforce personnel overseas....etc. |

bidexiii: Anyway, that figure is inflated. The Nigerian Air Force cannot spend that much money on aviation fuel alone. It is either the figure is misrepresented or it is inflated/fraud. |
Re: Battle Field Discussion (picture/video) Of African Military . by Nobody: 9:49pm On Sep 01, 2016 |
BlackBaron: That figure on fuel consumption is either a misrepresentation or it's just plain fraud. The Terrorism in the North was always going to come to Nigeria. All the ingredients for terrorist activity were present and thriving in the North. Religious fanaticism/extremism, high levels of intolerance, growing wahabbi madrassas, high levels of illiteracy and poverty. Uthman don fodio, "Mastestine", prevalent Kano riots. So as you can see, it was just a matter of time. The issues in the ND are mainly centered on resource control, mainly political, with also very high levels of potential violence. What i said was the war on terror was inescapable for Nigeria, so the talk of money spent on the insurgency which would have ordinarily being spent on Infrastructure really should not come up. We are fighting an Insurgency we could not have avoided. |
Re: Battle Field Discussion (picture/video) Of African Military . by BlackBaron: 10:06pm On Sep 01, 2016 |
Henry240:The point I'm making is that whilst the war in the North east was inevitable. The recurring war in the ND is avoidable. We have fought different reiterations of militants through the decades all fighting for the same thing. We keep choosing the harder option of paying off the often opportunistic miscreants rather than negotiating a lasting solution. The repetitive military campaigns such as in the creeks is what I refer to. We smash them, ignore the problems...until another self styled 'liberation force' springs out from another rabbit hole. For us to develop faster, we have to be able to sort this rather than fight, destroy, rebuild. Developed countries are not exactly sending their national armies to engage in pitted battles against their own citizens simply because state institutions have taken care or limited the possibilities of issues like ND militants ever happening. |
Re: Battle Field Discussion (picture/video) Of African Military . by Nobody: 10:22pm On Sep 01, 2016 |
BlackBaron: There's no military operation in the ND yet, we've only seen mobilisation of some assets. So for now, we'll have to keep a keen eye and see how things progress. In all, we are saying the same thing and are on same page. |

Henry240: Can't wait for those birds and choppas, to come. Those bokos haven't seing anything yet compared to what is to come. The NAF is doing a very good job bombarding BHT camps. And also I can't wait to see the airforce releasing the jf17 video aerial bombing. |

bidexiii: All seems eerily quiet; i mean, one would think that if the aircraft were close to delivery, Pakistani bloggers would get wind of it and be bragging about it for the consumption of the Indians but oh no nothing, just silence. Was reading on beegeagles twitter, @gbash reporting exciting news he saw on a Pakistan forum about the aircraft until beegs pointed out that the Pakistan forum was in effect referring to old defunct information. Henry240: That's a NN vessel. -firstly the naval personnel on the vessel are all black personnels, though the picture is somehow blunt but look closely very well. - those personnel are wearing the traditional light navy blue on dark blue, the Israeli navy either wear the white on white or light brown on light brown on ship. - then the NN has these tradition of arming the light vessel and gun boats with grenade launchers, which is visible in the front. |

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=08DbZjmm7hs Guys you must watch these video, tester night when I finished downloading it, I just skipped through the video because it's about 43 mind video. It shows every thing about the lives of troops in sambisa forest & CION. At the beginning of the video soldiers where digging for water when they came under fire by BHT but they repelled the attack. Accidentally it looks like there was a friendly fire or a soldier being mistakenly ran of by a MBT. Another part of the video I like is the tactical movement in which troops move inside Sambisa and the position of the MBT,MRAPs and Gun trucks are stationed in area of operation in case of attack. And in the video, it shows how the NAF helps.in logistics supplies and evacuation of rescued civilians through air assets. A Lot of things you get to see in the video. Big ups @fynline for these.....! |

bidexiii:I totally agree with u was a great enlightenment. but 4 things disappointed me. 1.d Vickers tanks we need to replace dem 2.d destruction of grains wen we have starving n malnourished children in IDP camps 3.lack of proper communication gadgets eg firing on advanced troops which if der was good radio communication would b avoided. 4.lastly d Augusta 109 light skin choppers have no business dere.d commander towards d end was speaking of d chopper being fired at.dis ought to b d job of d super puma or maybe d mi17. over all it was nice seeing d stuff our troops was made of. more of dis videos are needed pls. |

Fynline: This is by far the best and most authentic video i've watched all year. I'm so proud of our military. Yes there are issues, but it doesn't matter, we have a very strong military all Nigerians can be proud of. P.S, the army should try reduce the number of Hilux vehicles now, although the Hilux is very well armed with a ballistic shield in-front of the 12.7mm gunner. I particularly enjoyed the humor of the blokes. 1 Like |

giles14: I agree with u hernry on the video and am proud of our frontline troops. I agree with you giles14 but what do you do when you are shot of the proper assets. What's make you excel in what ever you do is not much and better things you av available to you but how good you make of the little you have. Even the developed army can't av it all. |
