I pity SOUTH EAST N SOUTH SOUTH cos wen our dear Buhari succeeds in exploring Oil in the North n Chad Basin, the South will have little or no relevance to NIGERIAN ECONOMY hence can be relegated n allowed to rot by then d Oil infrastructures would have been blown up by these selfish militant groups seeking political relevance |

Barcelona90:Shataaap!! Explore the oil and stay on your own. We will build our place with sincerity. Biafrans said no to oil flow. Yes I am from Imo state and I don't see reason why I have oil in my place and the oil is useless to me, in short let it dry in a twinkle of an eye. Mad people everywhere! You left your brothers and sisters in Benin Republic very close to you and come down to SE/SS shouting one Nigeria one Nigeria everywhere like mad man. 2 Likes |

blackboy2star: Lagos generates substantial IGR. Edo State, a civil service state, generates more IGR than most of the South Eastern states that are supposedly commercial centers. States with committed leadership can eke out enough IGR to fund many projects. But that level of leadership is lacking. Prior to this period with a fall in oil price drastically reducing state allowances, Nigerian states were raking in lots of money as oil sold for record prices. Where is the development to show for that period of largesse? |

texazzpete: Oh shut up. I'm an Anambra man who did his NYSC in Edo state. In the one year I was there, I went around the whole state. What has Edo state got to generate more revenue than Anambra? Anambra has the largest market in west Africa, the huge industrial base of Nnewi and is also an Oil producing state. What is in Edo that makes them generate funds? |

texazzpete: This does not answer my question. These figures can be cooked up by anybody. What has Edo state got to come even remotely close to Anambra in terms of revenue generation? |
Re: Militants Bomb Agip Pipeline In Imo by texazzpete(m): 11:35am On Sep 02, 2016 |
attackgat: Those figures come from the national bureau of statistics. Previous figures from 2012 were in the same line. attackgat: Nobody has said it's about revenue generation. It's about tax compliance. They have people who are willing to pay their quota towards state development, and the Government has the political will to collect taxes. Can you also see Enugu beating Anambra and Abia, states with the commercial powerhouses of Onitsha and Aba? |
