The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) explained: “If one of you were to be stabbed in the head with a piece of iron it would be better for him than if he were to touch a woman whom it is not permissible for him to touch.” (Reported by al-Tabaraani)

It was narrated that Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Whoever repents before the sun rises from the west, Allah will accept his repentance.” [Muslim]

The messenger of Allaah pbuh said;

"If one of you becomes angry then he should stay silent.”

And

"When one of you becomes angry while standing, he should sit down. If the anger leaves him, well and good; otherwise he should lie down."

Then,

"Anger comes from the devil, the devil was created from fire, and fire is extinguished only with water. So when one of you becomes angry, he should make wudu.”

These things works, atleast they worked and still working for me, so if you are the kind that gets angry easily like me, try the above.

Saying the adhan on the right ear of a newborn baby and iqamah on the left is a sunnah which has so much good in it, the reason for this is, the first thing the baby hears is the remembrance of Allaah, that way shaytan flees from the child..

May Allaah grant you save delivery – Ameen.

Surah AL-MU'MINUN verse 1-10

Certainly will the believers have succeeded:

They who are during their prayer humbly submissive

And they who turn away from ill speech

And they who are observant of zakah

And they who guard their private parts

Except from their wives or those their right hands possess, for indeed, they will not be blamed –

But whoever seeks beyond that, then those are the transgressors –

And they who are to their trusts and their promises attentive

And they who carefully maintain their prayers –

Those are the inheritors

Surah AL-MU'MINUN verse 84-92

[b]Say, [O Muhammad], "To whom belongs the earth and whoever is in it, if you should know?"

They will say, "To Allah ." Say, "Then will you not remember?"

Say, "Who is Lord of the seven heavens and Lord of the Great Throne?"

They will say, "[They belong] to Allah ." Say, "Then will you not fear Him?"

Say, "In whose hand is the realm of all things - and He protects while none can protect against Him - if you should know?"
They will say, "[All belongs] to Allah ." Say, "Then how are you deluded?"

Rather, We have brought them the truth, and indeed they are liars.

Allah has not taken any son, nor has there ever been with Him any deity. [If there had been], then each deity would have taken what it created, and some of them would have sought to overcome others. Exalted is Allah above what they describe [concerning Him].

[He is] Knower of the unseen and the witnessed, so high is He above what they associate [with Him].[/b]

How many of us fast on Mondays and Thursdays?

It was narrated from Abu Hurayrah (may Allaah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Deeds are shown (to Allaah) on Mondays and Thursdays, and I like my deeds to be shown when I am fasting.” Narrated by al-Tirmidhi, 747; classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Targheeb, 1041.

Just a quick reminder. Tomorrow is Monday grin

It's so sad these days how people disregard the prophet(peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and his teachings. cry cry

The prophet( peace and blessing be upon him) said: “I do not want to find any one of you reclining on his pillow, and when he hears of something that I have commanded or forbidden, he says, ‘Between us and you there stands this Quran, whatever we find is permissible in it we will take as permissible, and whatever we find is forbidden in it we will take as forbidden.’ For I have been given the Book and something like it with it; it is like the Quran or more.” This hadeeth is narrated in the books of Sunan and Musnad from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) with a number of isnads (chains of narration) from Abu Tha’labah, Abu Rafi’, Abu Hurayrah and others.

“Verily, your Lord is Allah who created the heavens and earth in six days and then established Himself above the Throne. He covers the night with the day, chasing it rapidly, and the sun, the moon, and the stars are subjected to His command. Unquestionably, for Him is the creation and the command. Blessed is Allah, the Lord of the worlds.” {Quran 7:45}

[size=15pt]Some sayings of the salafs[/size]

It is reported that Al-Hasan Al-Basrī – Allāh have mercy on him – said:

Do not sit with the people of desires (Bid'ah, heresy), even if you think you have a response [to what they say].

Al-Harawī, Dhamm Al-Kalām article 765.

Also;

Abbād b. Al-ʿAwwām narrates:

Sharīk b. Abdillāh came to us around fifty years ago, and we said to him, “O Abū ʿAbdillāh, here amongst us there are people from the Muʿtazilah who reject these āhādīth [like]: ‘Allāh descends to the lowest heaven’, and ‘the people of Jannah will see their Lord’. So Sharīk narrated to me around ten such narrations, then said: ‘As for us, we have taken our religion from the sons of the Tābiʿīn, from the Sahābah. Who have they taken from?’”

Al-sahabī, Al-ʿUluw. Graded sahīh by Al-Albānī in Mukhtaṣar Al-ʿUluw article 146.

Also;

Anas b. Mālik reports:

A young man who had stolen was brought to ʿUmar (for punishment). He said, “By Allāh I have never stolen before this time.” So ʿUmar responded, “You lie, Allāh would not (or does not) surrender a servant of His on the first sin.

Abū Dāwūd, Al-Zuhd article 56, and others. Graded sahīh by Ibn Kathīr and others.

Allaah’s Apostle said, “There will always be in my nation a group who will safeguard the truth until the day of resurrection comes” (Hakim Mustadrak)

The Holy Prophet said, “Allaah shall send for this Ummah at the head of every hundred years a person who shall revive their religion for them” ( Abu Dawood, Hakim, Baihaqi)

Sounds to me like shaykh Muhammad ibn Abdul-wahab(rahimahullaah) is one of them.

Another interesting narration, a direct retort for those that says 'don't follow the scholars"

The Holy Prophet said, “The scholars are the inheritors of the prophets”.(Tirmidhi, Abu Dawood, Nasai, Ibn Maja, Ahmad, Ibn Hibban).

Allah (SWT) says about narrating the most beautiful story in the Qur’an, and this story is about the prophet Yusuf (AS). I must first acknowledge the presentation of this story by Ustadh Nouman Khan of the Bayyinah Institute, listening to the way he presented this event was quite insightful.

So I was browsing through some videos on Facebook when I encountered this verse from surah Yusuf being recited by a very melodious voice, there and then, it seemed I had never heard this verse in my life, or perhaps it was the verse I needed to put my mind at rest, a profound reminder, and I had to share…

“…and never give up hope of Allah's Mercy. Certainly no one despairs of Allah's Mercy, except the people who disbelieve." (Quran 12:87)

As Muslims, you are not expected to give up, no matter how gloomy the whole situation is, you just cannot give up hope in the Mercy of Allah (SWT), He definitely got your back, so you need not despair! Giving up hope is likened to disbelief, so reaffirm your faith, take the bull by the horns, and pursue your dreams with confidence and hope in the Mercies of Allah…

One of the supplications of the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) was: “O Allah, set right for me my religious commitment, which is the safeguard of my affairs. Set right for me my worldly affairs in which is my living. Set right for me my Hereafter in which will be my final abode. Make this life a means of increase in all that is good, and make death a relief for me from all evil.”

Quotes about Knowledge by Abu Bakr As-Siddiq

“The more knowledge you have, the greater will be your fear of Allah.”

“Without knowledge, action is useless and knowledge without action is futile.”

“Knowledge is the life of the mind.”

“When a noble man learns knowledge he becomes humble; when an ignoble person gains knowledge he gets conceited.”

“When knowledge is limited, it leads to folly; when knowledge exceeds a certain limit, it leads to exploitation.”

AL-MUJADILA

Have you not considered that Allah knows what is in the heavens and what is on the earth? There is in no private conversation three but that He is the fourth of them, nor are there five but that He is the sixth of them - and no less than that and no more except that He is with them [in knowledge] wherever they are. Then He will inform them of what they did, on the Day of Resurrection. Indeed Allah is, of all things, Knowing. [58:7]

O you who have believed, when you converse privately, do not converse about sin and aggression and disobedience to the Messenger but converse about righteousness and piety. And fear Allah , to whom you will be gathered. [58:9]
Re: What Have You Done To Improve Today?|Daily Reminders by Nobody: 8:46am On Sep 02, 2016
Because we are approaching the best ten days of the entire year ( the Ten Days of Dhul Hijjah), I decided to bring some practical deeds that a person can do during this time.

Reciting a lot of Tasbeeh Tasbeeh- ("Subhan-Allaah"wink, Tahmeed ("Al-hamdu Lillaah"wink and Takbeer ("Allaahu akbar"wink during this time. ‘Abdullaah ibn ‘Umar (may Allaah be pleased with him and his father) reported that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: "There are no days greater in the sight of Allaah and in which righteous deeds are more beloved to Him than these ten days, so during this time recite a great deal of Tahleel ("La ilaaha ill-Allaah"wink, Takbeer and Tahmeed." (Reported by Ahmad, 7/224; Ahmad Shaakir stated that it is saheeh).

It is Sunnah to say Takbeer - Takbeer may include the words "Allaahu akbar, Allaahu akbar, la ilaaha ill-Allaah; wa Allaahu akbar wa Lillaahi’l-hamd (Allaah is Most Great, Allaah is Most Great, there is no god but Allaah; Allaah is Most Great and to Allaah be praise)," as well as other phrases. Do note that men should recite the takbeer aloud whilst women do theirs silently.

Fasting- The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) used to fast on the first nine days of Dhu’l-Hijjah. It was narrated from Hunaydah ibn Khaalid from his wife, that one of the wives of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) used to fast on the first nine days of Dhu’l-Hijjah and the day of ‘Ashoora’, and three days each month, the first Monday of the month and two Thursdays. Narrated by al-Nasaa’i, 4/205 and by Abu Dawood; classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh Abi Dawood, 2/462.

Hajj and Umrah: These are one of the best deeds that a Muslim can do during these time. Now for those of us that can’t do hajj or umrah because aa ni visa abi ko si owo visa (no money for visa or we don’t have visa), look no further! We can get the rewards for BOTH hajj and umurah at our doorsteps.
“Whoever prays Fajr in congregation then sits remembering Allaah until the sun rises, then prays two rak’ahs, will have a reward like that of Hajj and ‘Umrah, complete, complete, complete.” Narrated by al-Tirmidhi (586)

Reviving aspects of the Sunnah that have been virtually forgotten- the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him): "Whoever revives an aspect of my Sunnah that is forgotten after my death, he will have a reward equivalent to that of the people who follow him, without it detracting in the least from their reward." (Reported by al-Tirmidhi, 7/443; this is a hasan hadeeth because of corroborating asaaneed).

Repentance: It is important to note that just as good deeds during these days are among the best of deeds, bad deeds during these days are also considered the worst of deeds. So it is important to prevent falling into sins and repent sincerely from past sins.

Doing righteous deeds in general: keeping family ties (call your relatives!), reciting the Qura’n, doing dikhr etc

Lastly I just want to add that no one should let shaytan tell him/her that he/she cannot fast the first nine days. If you can fast an entire month then nine days should not be much of a difficulty Just try fasting one day and in sha Allah The rest would be easier.
I personally don’t think I have ever fasted the whole nine days but in sha Allah this year would be different for me. I will take a step further by fasting the entire nine days in sha Allah. I AM ready for it! Are you?
.

Do note that if you can’t fast the entire nine days, please don’t miss fasting on Ashooura (the day before eid). Fasting on this day expiates the sins of two years!The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Fasting the day of ‘Arafah I hope Allaah will expiate thereby for the year before it and the year after it, and fasting the day of ‘Ashoora’ I hope Allaah will expiate thereby for the year that came before it.” Narrated by Muslim, 1162.

As-Salaamu aleikom warahmatAllaahi wa barakaatuhu,

Allaah subhanaahu wa ta'aala says;

“neither backbite one another. Would one of you like to eat the flesh of his dead brother? You would hate it (so hate backbiting). And fear Allah. Verily, Allah is the One Who forgives and accepts repentance, Most Merciful” <<koran 49:12>>

The messenger of Allaah said;

“Do you know what gheebah (backbiting) is?” They said, “Allah and His Messenger know best.” He said, “Saying something about your brother that he dislikes.” It was said, “What if what I say about my brother is true?” He said, “If what you say is true then you have backbitten about him, and if it is not true, then you have slandered him.” <<Muslim>>
