iamosamede55:I believe dis factors played a role in ur refusal. Your statement of acct is just to back up ur claim dat u are working. And a sworn affidavit would have being effective. I was also denied on insufficient funds. I realized I didnt prove my relationship with my sponsor well enough. Working on it. |

@ Mcowubaba, emma4eva, yemdogg and other gurus in the thread. How do you see Memorial Uuniversity Newfoundland? Do you advise people to apply there? Is the school really good enough? I just checked their tuition fees and it's very Low Compared to other universities. Is the school substandard to have such low tuition? Thanks and waiting for response. I am having double mind now, I feel like applying in MUN too |

abdulkabirtobi: You can't do biometric without applying for trv, so you have to wait for you admission to come out because you will need it to apply for study permit 1 Like |

iamosamede55: You do not need to include personal assets or personal statement of accounts because you are not self sponsored, these would have been valuable to prove home ties but that was not the problem. The statement of sponsor from your sister is the area that will need work on, it has to be convincing that she will fund your study, but first collect your GCMS it will clarify how the vo came to the conclusion of insufficient fund |

flyboi1: Guys.I assume you havent carried out your own private research on this school using good old Google. The reviews are really bad.even after I researched I still reached out to the school via mail to confirm if my 2.2 could be considered.Well they did not only return my mail, they have called me like twice now and the person that called me asked about my qualifications and told me he was certain they could offer me admission thru their MBA foundation and I should apply asap and would get my admission letter in about two weeks to expedite my visa processing. I was still concerned about how easy that was, then about 3days after they called to let me know they were reducing the cost of the MBA foundation to just about $2,500 but I would have to make payment immediately I am offered admission to confirm my seat.theie explanation for the discount was because they were aware of Nigeria's current exchange rate situation. The final one for me was when they called again,to ask if I was still interested cos they noticed I had not sent my documents.at that point I knew i had had enough and I said I wasn't interested any longer. Guys always read up on school reviews.just Google MBA canada west reviews. Anyone that's been to this school and has had a good experience? Do share. |

yemdogg: Hi Yemi, Thanks again for helping out with my proof reading. I raised the same concern and they clearly stated the letter would read MBA and the total duration inclusive of the MBA foundation period.but the school reviews on goodlw are bad and the correspondence experience I have had with them...I feel like they are desperate to admit just anyone. 1 Like |

t405: Of course they would admit just anyone......it's a private school and it's a profit making establishment. They try to make sure that just anyone can get admitted into their MBA program...there are several options available to prospective applicants; I mean they could literally just beg people to apply for their MBA program. and i learnt there is no requirement for payment of app fee. you can imagine. Anyway, all these things may not determine/affect the reputation of the school. buh it's ranked 8296 in the world and ranked 93 out of 99 top institutions in Canada. |
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 11 by yemdogg: 8:34pm On Sep 02, 2016 |
Basalt: MUN is a good school. The fact that the tuition is low doesn't mean that the school is substandard; It could very well mean that the school is well funded. The school probably has huge endowment funds; probably why it is cheap. Don't forget it's a public institution. So if you'd ask me i think the school is good. Buh the ranking of the school shouldn't be your concern, what should be your concern is the quality of your intending program in the school. program ranking is more germane than school ranking. check the faculty website of your intending program and check the faculty members' profiles, that way you would know to an extent the quality of the program. University of Manitoba is cheap too...yet it is ranked 23rd in Canada. MUN is ranked 24th in Canada. Buh like i said earlier pay attention to Program ranking rather than school ranking. 3 Likes 1 Share |

Hello House. Please can someone help me answer this: I have been unemployed since October last year but I'm currently undergoing some certification courses which is in line with what I'm going to study. I was given a letter from the IT comp.sch to prove this so I intend adding it to my application to show that I've not been idle. Now my qtn is, how do I tackle this personal asset & financial status I'm seeing everywhere as a reason for denial? (Since I'm not working) I'm not sponsoring myself & i don't want to include my personal account because its 'RED' . Also please, how can I prove home ties. I'm 28. My sponsor is solely responsible for everything Canada-wise till I atleast get acclimatized & probably get a job. Application is for study permit. Please respond. |

I just wanna thank someone in the house.the person Used me to get all sorts of information into canada. Even when she has not gotten her visa, Which is fine information is free. Led me on making me deny other hopeful people looking for accomodation in calgary. Went ahead furnished the whole place awaiting her arrival even printed the lease. Only for her to cancel last minute. Laughs in igbo, My sister may God repay you accordingly. The fastest way to shoot yourself in the foot in canada is to use people for information and swindle them in the end i pity you. Canada is a different ball game even your best friend will not let you know what is beneficial so when you see people on this forum based in canada readily available and happy to give information be glad. My dear sister. You know yourself ,may God almighty be the judge!!! 4 Likes |
