Anambra people and the leaders are primed & focused on action, delivery and performance hence they can increase salaries above the national minimum wage of N18,000 and pay promptly while leading in WAEC and NECO scores. Unlike my people and our How did we, proud inheritors of Awo's legacy reduce ourselves to this How come? AreGbese has been making plenty noise about agriculture, even "building" the MKO Abiola cargo airport in Osogbo with the longest runway. Till today, nothing to show for it. So so hunger in the land with strangers donating food to our hungry folks and making a mockery of our Oduduwa heritage. Four years ago, then Association of Conmen in Nigeria, ACN made a lot of noise about the Development Agenda for Western Nigeria, DAWN. Till tomorrow, there is nothing to show for all the billions "spent". How did we allow these useless Akotileta prodigal How www.nairaland.com/attachments/2092636_my_jpeg32c947b9a6de6f2209b785db74601af5 29 Likes 5 Shares |

At a time when Investors are running away from Nigeria, Anambra state attracted 9 solid investors just in the Agricultural sector alone. Their secret is that obiano was wise to focus on local investors and anambra indigens in the diaspora. Unlike foreign investors who run away at the sign of trouble, local investors stay the course. Obiano has given Ndigbo the future blue print on how to develope our land. All Igbo governors need to copy this model immediately regardless of political affiliation. They need to set up their own version of ANSIPPA immediately. No need to reinvent the wheel. 27 Likes |

This is a good step in the right direction, I hope other Governors would take a cue from Anambra, I am sick & tired of hearing a Governor cannot pay salaries cos allocations are not suficient. You are the elected Governor so that you can think out of the box to generate revenue internally. With all our God~giving resources, we should be the last shouting recession. Anyways, for all agriculture & sustainable development enthusiasts.
