I can host for you. Just pm me. Whether foreign or Nigerian it's still same thing.

Most of the Nigerian hosting company are resellers.

Let me host for you.

99% up time.

Really? it's the cost of the foreign host against the reliability of our Nigerian ones I'm considering.

Thanks, I'd contact you.

I host www.onihaxy.com on whogohost before moving to namecheap

Most nigerian host dont have unlimited bandwith size. The few that have it made them expensive

Nice input,i appreciate you.

The bandwidth size is a parameter I've not considered yet, well I think I should.

Personally I don't use local hosting so I can't really tell how they operate but please make sure you go for a hosting that will give you all the leverages that you can get from a foreign hosting company.

Heartbroken Talk to www.amaraofficial.com

The current exchange rate is something else. If not for that I wouldn't have been left undicided till this moment.

Your site looks cool.

I will advise you to host on a foreign plan. Nigerian hosts are unreliable. Their prices look attractive but is anything happens to your website files they will tell you sorry.
They have a clause that prevents you from suing them if something awful happens to your website and you can't recover it. This simply means they are not ready for good business. If you think i am joking, search for topics on Nigerian hosts on Nairaland. Goodluck.

Thanks bro.
Seems I don't have to wait for much longer before I finally decide.

Have you gotten a hosting plan now?
I would suggest you try out http://www.myASP.NET/index?r=100558487
They have a free six month trial plan and their service is really reliable. Give it a try.
You can try their 6 month plan out and then make your purcharse if you're oK with the service.
Its a very good foreign host.

if you are a reseller, you back and confirm before you deceive people. they do not have free trial period. it is a deceit!

Hi there, its a dilemma really: the issues with local providers and our FOREX. But there is a solution. I work for an indigenous IT solutions provider who enjoys partnership with 4 leading hosting providers, meaning you can enjoy a world class and stress-free hosting while dealing in local currency. Win-win for you.
Send your needs/enquiry to info@dsolutionsgroup.net, you won't be di sappointed.

Are they Nigerian host providers because I also want to host my website. I need a quality service

I guess you're talking about something else with they guy. Its all glaring for all to see. Check their hosting plans. Its boldly written there. I am NOT a reseller. I just registered for another free hosting last week. Only the hosting is free. Or are you expecing them to give you domain name for free too? When you ask to start free trial his respose was yes. Try to ask proper questions before you jump to conclusion. Go to the site now and register for the free trial plan. You don't need to pay a dime. You can cancel if you don't like the service. For me, so far so good.

for economic reasons, start with a Nigerian host. You can move to a foreign host when you start getting huge traffic.
Best advice. I concur. If you are going to have issues with FX paying a foreign host monthly or quarterly as the case may be, stay away from them. If you don't pay them when the bill is due, they'll pull down your site. After one month, they'll delete it from their server.

With a local hosts, you only pay once a year and when you compare what you'll pay to a foreign host, you'll find that a local host is a bargain.

In terms of service, the foreign host offers better service support. If you run into trouble, they'll be there for you. They even keep a back-up copy of your site. However, if you choose to go with a local host because of cost, make sure you back-up your site daily or hourly as the case may be. Since you are using WordPress, there are very good free plugins to help back up your site. Do not rely on your local host to back-up your site, otherwise, you will be dissapointed.

Op, I wouldn't advise you to go for a Nigerian host. At the same time, some foreign host might look cheap for the first year but subsequent years, you will definitely be charge higher. I can only recommend MifiHost to you. The renewal fees is the same as the start up fees. MifiHost.com

I have hosted both on foreign and local hosting companies.

There's nothing bad with some hosting companies here.
My first choice for local hosting is http://qservers.net then this use to be my first choice before the advent of qservers, http://syskay.com.

The experience I got from both hosting companies is the same as I got with godaddy.com 99.9% uptime.

Presently I am using whogohost.com, have not had much issues with them but I will rate them 90% for now.

Thatz my own contribution.

Thanks for your emperical input

I stand by my claim. No more free hosting from them. They just put it on the site page to deceive. I filled the hosting form and I had the message telling me thay are NO MORE giving free hosting. They then redirected me to another site. Go back to the site and check again

You're very right! I just checked out now. They have limited their 60 days free trial to foreign countries.
My current site is hosted with them, I started with the free trial and when I really like their service, I upgraded to the paid one.
I was told it was because their free service was been misused. The free trial is now for only foreign customers.
Anyways, sorry about that.
One more thing, I guess the reason I was able to use the free trial last week was because my company IP is actually foreign (US) IP.
I guess that's the reason I was able to register from last week's free trial.
If you can, you can change your IP and try the free trial. All you need to do is succesfully register for it.
You will be able to use it then for 6 months.

I needed to clarify this.

Thank you.

both whogohost and smartweb are trash! I CAN SAY IT MILLION TIMES

About three months ago, smartweb started destroying my sites (about ten). i was able to recover about 6 while 4 were gone. I moved to whogohost and up till now no rest. it is one issue or the other. just now i tried i am working on cpanel and admin areas of two sites and at the same time, the two sites logs me out and redirect me to home page. this has been happening for somes weeks.

i have a bulk sms site with whogohost, the site could not work for two days successfully before trying another site again.

to me foreign host direct is the best

Sorry to hear that bro. Thanks for sharing your experience.

Yes I was able to pay with Naira card. You can still try out the free trial if you wish. During rgisteration just change your IP to US or UK. They will allow you register. After registering, you can now change to your normal IP. Cheers.
