My advise is that you repeat this test to be sure of where you are. How many days abstinence gave this?

Actually, count is low and motility also. But I have this feeling you did abstain within the required limit.

Okay. Presently I am at ekiti, oye ekiti. I want to go to the
teaching hospital to see a doc but when I get to hospital,
who exactly will I say I want to see or which department will
I head to?
pls help me out. I have been down seriously.

Interesting you were given drugs by a hospital. The hospital I did my test advised for IVF straight but I did research and started supplements. I have been on Fertilsam M after one month on Fertilaid. I want to finish it for 3 months. Although I am yet to get my BFP but I know this year it will happen.

I ve not done another test as I personally do not want to believing for conception soon.

FERTILITY PROBLEMS

If you are experiencing infertility, you are not alone. Statistics indicate that about 2.1 million married couples experience infertility, and 6.1 million women between the ages of 15 to 44 have an impaired ability to have children. Studies have also found that 9.2 million women made use of infertility services at some time in their life. Because fertility issues are so prominent, it is important to understand infertility, its causes and risk factors.

Infertility is defined as the inability to become pregnant after a year or more of sperm insemination or well-timed, unprotected vaginal intercourse. Infertility may be a temporary or a permanent condition; this depends on the cause, and the fertility of the partner at any particular point in time. Due to cultural beliefs, infertility is seen as a woman’s problem which is not true. It is both a male and female problem as conception depends on the following factors:

- ability of the fertilized egg (embryo) to become implanted in the woman's uterus
- a good quality embryo
- production of healthy sperm by the man and healthy eggs by the woman
- sperm's ability to reach the egg
- sperm's ability to fertilize the egg when they meet
- unblocked fallopian tubes that allow the sperm to reach the egg

Causes of infertility
There are many potential causes for infertility or reproductive problems. Chronic illnesses, as well as their treatments, can lead to fertility problems, Illnesses like diabetes and hypothyroidism can cause fertility problems. Insulin, antidepressants, and thyroid hormones may lead to irregular menstrual cycles, for example. Or medication used to treat peptic ulcers or hypertension can cause male factor infertility, including problems with sperm production or their ability to fertilize the egg. Furthermore, cancer treatments can lead to fertility problems, especially radiation therapy near the reproductive organs. Some sexually transmitted diseases can block the fallopian tubes, making pregnancy either impossible or putting a woman at risk for ectopic pregnancy.

infertility in men

Sometimes a man is born with problems affecting his sperm. Other times problems arise due to illness or injury. For example, cystic fibrosis frequently causes infertility in men. Infertility in men is most often caused by:
• problems making sperm -- producing too few sperm or none at all
• problems with the sperm's ability to reach the egg and fertilize it -- abnormal sperm shape or structure prevent it from moving correctly

Risk factors:
• age
• alcohol
• cancer radiation treatment and chemotherapy
• environmental toxins, including pesticides and lead
• being overweight or underweight
• health problems that cause hormonal changes
• medications (drugs)
• poor diet
• sexually transmitted diseases (STDs)
• stress
• tobacco smoking

Some Causes of infertility in women

Most cases of infertility in women arise from problems with ovulation. Without ovulation, there are no eggs to be fertilized. Irregular or absent menstrual periods are some signs that a woman is not ovulating normally. For example, birth control pills might temporarily alter female sex hormone production, which can take some time to restore after a woman stops birth control pills. This problem is usually temporary, but might take longer than the woman wants. Other causes of fertility problems in women include:

• blocked fallopian tubes due to pelvic inflammatory disease, endometriosis, or surgery for an ectopic pregnancy
• physical problems with the uterus
• uterine fibroids

For those whose case might be related to low sperm count and also low motility, I have a little suggestion about a drug. Its called PrOxeed. It is an encompassing supplement. It helps a great deal in this area. Kindly let me know if you need to see a sample of its pack and other details about it.

I am resident in saudi Arabia, and a consultant here recommended it and testimonies have abound. It might be a little bit scarce in Nigeria but i believe you can still get it in some big pharmacies. It's quite scarce here also.

To wrap it, you have to remain happy. .Just believe that God is never late, don't get yourself all worked up and don't allow anyone to make you feel bad. Whenever friends and families ask you what the situation is.. Just always gladly tell them, very soon. The full joy of parenting will surely be present in your households.

hmmm @witgig, ur count is 8m/ml, which is on the low side, who standard is about 20m/ml, i still dont understand the 8.1ml ejaculate volume, its too big, normal sample volume is 1.5ml to 5ml
ur other parameters appear fair...

u need to see a urologist to prescribe drugs to boost ur count.

you cud also try fertilsan m, count boost by fairheaven, addyzoa etc?
do u hv low libido, do u take sex performance drugs like viagra, taladis etc, u need to stop as ths cause low sperm count.

you could try the onion honey/ guava leaves honey / dates, aki awusa, coconut therapy....google for more info

Re: Male Infertility!!! Share Your Experience/success Story. by gidjah(m): 5:58pm On Sep 11, 2016
Pls uncle TJ, have you been able to get the Dr quick here in FCT? Please let me know
Peterjamesdan:
@ Tunji1984,

One among the good things about your seminal analysis is that you do not have infection. Therefore, the concentration will be on improving on other things. You need to improve on the Motility. If get it up to 60% good but 70% will be better. Secondly your Count is Low. You need to work on it, though some men with low sperm have been able to get their wife pregnant. However, this does not mean that one should not work to increase on the count. The average of male sperm count as according to WHO is 15million/ml so you try as much as possible to increase on it. There are many things you can do, knowledgeable members have already given advice. I you eat well. EAT more of vegetables and fruits. Sush as Carrots, Cucumber, Cabbage, all edible green vegetables, bananas, Avocado pears. Reduce quantity of meat intake then eat more Fish. Then supplement with Men fertility supplement as you have already been advised. Above all pray earnestly then you will see what God can do.

Bless you!
