I just wanna thank someone in the house.the person Used me to get all sorts of information into canada. Even when she has not gotten her visa, Which is fine information is free. Led me on making me deny other hopeful people looking for accomodation in calgary. Went ahead furnished the whole place awaiting her arrival even printed the lease. Only for her to cancel last minute. Laughs in igbo, My sister may God repay you accordingly. The fastest way to shoot yourself in the foot in canada is to use people for information and swindle them in the end i pity you. Canada is a different ball game even your best friend will not let you know what is beneficial so when you see people on this forum based in canada readily available and happy to give information be glad.
My dear sister. You know yourself ,may God almighty be the judge!!!

Why do we always forget this karma quote:"do to others what u want others do to u" pls try forgive d person, all the cash u used in preparing the house God ll repay u in million folds... That's wickedness

Congrats on your successful admission.

Did your supervisor not provide funding or nominate you for any scholarship?

You can explain the gap in your study in your SOP

My brother I have to secure a supervisor before I can apply. No professor wants to accept students but dis one accepted me that am gonna fund myself so I accept. Mayb I will ask him again. Please how can I get an Sop sample to work with?

Wow, does the funding include both your research expenses? If it includes then I think it's much.

However he can always nominate you for scholarships in usask

Tell him to nominate you for graduate teaching fellowship or deans scholarship.

Of cos you can get sample Sop from people here, just ask.

yes birth certificates, intl p.p data page suffice for families but your unemployed status now is an issue, your job will have been another home ties. A job will help your application even if you don't have asset or personal statement of account but if you have a sponsor with adequate fund and can be convincing on why he will commit the required amount you should be fine.

Thank you Tarry.., you've been of great help.

Yet people don't understand when u decide not to help them. They think you are being wicked ts the evil acts like this that makes u step back. But am happy because canada teaches u to value information the girl thinks she is smart. I laugh. They used the guy that was in contact with me. Disturbed the guy , the guy left work and was running up and down then told him they dont want again. That theyv seen free house. Loll the only place they cant throw u out of is family home. Even A family friend will kick ur a55 out without remorse. Leave them. Let them continue. Canada is a teaching ground. Just keep doing good. God will repay us. [/quote

In my previous application. I didnt state any current activity, i finished service may. few days before application(denied on insuficient funds). Now its being 3 months, am reapplying soon. I havent really being working. I want to write something tangible as my current activity. Any idea??

3 months isn't really considered as a 'gap' per se, and it's not something to be bothered about. You were refused based on funds, please don't over think this whole thing and simplify as much as possible.
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 11 by hayqinsbFX: 2:21pm On Sep 03, 2016
I disagree on this.
At POE they do not scrutinze the school you're going to in particular as long as it's post secondary and you have shown that you are genuinely going to pursue whatever program (whether the one you got your visa with or another)

Note both must be post secondary...

All it requires is a simple explanation that you decided to attend this school instead of that.

lawmerchant:

There are two stages of study permit (1) Approval and (2) issuance. Study permit is APPROVED by the embassy and ISSUED at port of entry.

You can change your school AFTER you have landed in Canada and your study permit has been ISSUED at the point of entry. If you changed your school after approval but BEFORE entry to Canada (issuance), you'll NOT be issued a study permit at port of entry, you'll have to reapply. - LM

Nice one bro......its funny how people who havent stepped a foot in Canada, people who dont know how things work in Canada to just jump up here and say stuffs....Now we have heard from someone who is on ground in Canada 'LIVE'....so the lady who has gotten her trv already...start looking for your air fare, and when you get to Canada, do as the above monicker has adviced...
Gymme:
In spite of what others have said, i am gonna talk from experience here.

She can travel down here and inform CIC (not at POE though) of change of DLI but after getting to her final destination OR

Go to her proposed school and DEFER her admission (that is if she resumes before the school's deadline to 'withdraw') OR

Take a leave of absence (but 'some' schools require schooling for at least 2 semesters before granting this).

After choosing any of the options, she can renew her Study Permit WHILE AS AN ACTIVE STUDENT. Meaning she must be in school during her second year in Canada for her to be able to renew the permit.

Do not complicate your application, your previous data is with CIC, any additional information especially on employment history within the last 3months you were denied will be questioned. You were denied based on insufficient funds, you only need to touch that aspect and prove relationship with your sponsor...

Hello Guys,
I am currently enrolled in a graduate program and have funding with assitantship. I dont think i want to continue with canada anymore for now . My application is currently with CIC (I applied from the US). Can I still request for my tuition deposits if I am granted Visa to canada and no longer wants to go there ?
Please urgent advice.

Rules are laid out for guidance not for hindrance-Gymme.

Thanks @Lawmerchant for the screenshot but if we critically analyze the instruction, we would realize that 'YOU MUST REMAIN ENROLLED' does not mean you can't go on Leave of Absence (LOA). It is just similar to an employee going on Study Leave or Vacation or any other Special Leave (does that mean such an employee is no more part of the company/organisation?).

REASONABLE AND TIMELY PROGRESS TOWARDS COMPLETING THE PROGRAM:

For you to be approved for LOA, you must state the reason (s) why you wanna go out of school and FOR HOW LONG. Getting money to pay for tuition is a common, normal and reasonable progress to complete the program.

'Their people' go off school to work for a while 'cos of money so why would they not allow international students that even pay more money as tuition?

In addition, a fellow Nigerian classmate got a job in a different city, Calgary (a paid internship that was not part of our Masters program and he already paid his tuition a year ahead), he simply took LOA and went for a year for the job, came back for 2 semesters to complete his Thesis and went back to continue is internship-turn-full-time job.

Tell them you are a freelance teacher or writer. You don't need an employment letter because you're freelance and self- employed. Hope it helps

Yes, they give TRV after resumption date, they will just ask u to get a new letter from ur skool for a new start date. No u don't need to re-apply for a new TRV, cos d one u will be given is still valid
