Keneking: Frankly I don't know if the VSF personnel are acting on instructions or not but I guess they do. I haven't have time to search the net but i am aware that relative visa/spouse is applied for by those related to PR holders and citizens. As for change of visa type once in SA, I am aware no one on visitor visa can change status while still in SA. Thank you |

olystic: Why not look at the hotels on Wakanow website? I guess they are genuine ones and you can make your choice from there and follow the payment procedure yourself. |

2 friends of mine applied on the 20th and got their visas yesterday although technically it a reapplication cos they applied earlier in the month and got denied cos of bank account issues. So my guess is that yours should be here anyday now. Speaking of which have you tried the tracking option cos I heard that sometimes it might be ready and they won't send and sms.just incase you haven't tracked it you can do so at http://www.vfsglobal.com/southafrica/nigeria/track_1.html. Still waiting on mine as well! Good luck ftromy: |

ftromy: Seem you don't understand my point. If you are on study visa lets say three years - can your spouse/children/relatives enter the Republic? |

Hello all, great job. Please i want to apply for a SA visa and i need clarification on some issues, firstly i run my own business, the business name is registered but i use my personal savings account for it so i do not know if this would be an issue. Secondly, do i just write one letter of introduction on a letter head stating my address what i do and also the visa request instead of having to write a self introduction letter and business letter separately. Would one introduction letter suffice? Thirdly, i made a hotel reservation via booking.com but i made payment and i also got a receipt directly from the hotel. I hope this would also suffice? Lastly can anyone provide a sample of self introduction letter for a business owner, i seem to be writing an epistle. Thanks in advance |

Keneking: If you are on study visa (my wife is), yes, your spouse/children can enter the Republic but on visitor visa and cannot change the visa type while in the Republic. You on study visa can change to critical skills then to PR while in the Republic. |
Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by Nobody: 6:26pm On Sep 02, 2016 |
ftromy: Thanks for clarifying, but is the Visitor visa - 90 days or as per duration on study visa approved for Principal? |
Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by mojohnny(m): 7:18pm On Sep 02, 2016 |
I understand fully. Even the wait all through the weekend not knowing whether the visa was approved or not is a chore in itself. Just in case by Monday you haven't gotten a response you should call me South African high Commission to lodge a complaint. Their number is 01-4612067. Cheers fam ftromy: |
Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by ftromy: 8:46pm On Sep 02, 2016 |
Keneking: I am aware it could be as per duration on the study visa that is both will expire the same day. While specifying the duration of stay during application diligence is needed to make both tally (my advice). 1 Like |

friendly101:Those Questions are what anyone can answer,i don't know what you filled in your form, but the most IMPORTANT THING IS TO HAVE YOUR PAID HOTEL RESERVATIONS IN PLACE, and your spending money......3 people were deported the day i came and one immediately he landed the day i was leaving just because there is no convincing accommodation reservations 1 Like |

Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by mojohnny(m): 2:10am On Sep 04, 2016 |
As at 22/08/2016 it was 28,550 But to be safe just go with 30k. Although they charge an optional extra 2700 for delivery within Lagos state. You will be required to pay once your documents have been reviewed against the checklist. Cheers scholarcute: |

Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by mojohnny(m): 6:34pm On Sep 05, 2016 |
The best time is now. The visa is usually a 90 day visa so it will well cover your intended travel period. The other upside to applying now is that once you get your Visa you can pay for your ticket and save on ticket fees. All the best Codeblues: |
