at week 32 i was having severe abdominal pain which occurs after a given interval. i didnt take it serious cos i assumed it woukd go but instead it got worse. when i couldnt take d pain anymore i had to call my hubby who happend to b a Dr. nd he said i should come nd meet him in d hospital. with annoyance i refused to go on d basis dt he should come and pick me. D pain continued to intensify itself to d extent dt i couldnt turn from d posture i was on bed. my bro. in law then saw me and drove me to d hospital.
gettibg to d hosp. i was taken to O&G call room to see my husband's friends. ehmmm i pity him dt day because his friends really accused him of being non challant wt my health. there and dn was diagnosed of having preterm labour. my hubby was so scared because he wasnt at home d night before nd we v not seen untill dt afternion in d hosp. i turned to b d one telling him not to mind dm. d drs i met then gave me a drug Nifedipine to be use every 20 mins for 2hrs nd waa told dt if d pain persist i ll v to b admitted nd if possible ll v to b induced for our safety. my sis after 2hrs d pain refused to go dt led to my admission in d hosp. for 3days after which i was discharged to go home nd continue wt d drug mrng and eveng.

@ dexterush now that you are here welcome back and pls before you disappear again I have a couple of questions for you

1. Pls how were you sleeping at night when you were pregnant with your twins? My presenting twin lies to my left and you know dr Google advises us to sleep on our left. Anytime I try to lie on my left, my LO kicks furiously as if to say I'm disturbing. My right side is a No No as that one is more jealous than jealousy. I'm forced to sleep on my back and raise my legs with a pillow which causes severe back ache on some nights. Pls advise me

2. Also do your twins sleep on the same bed with you and DH? Or did you have to buy two seperate cots. I've bought one for now and I'm thinking they can share or DH helps me seperate it. I really don't know yet what I'll do. I need your input pls

3. How many scans did you do during your pregnancy? Was it recommended by your doctor or you just decided to check their respective weights on your own? My OB has scheduled me for scans at 28 and 34 weeks to see their weights and then know what to do as per delivery. Would the scans be sufficient? Pls I'm a FTM hence all these my questions and I can't ask anyone around me as no one knows I'm carrying twins except DH and doctor

Its your pulse. I had the same, its especially annoying when you rest your head on that side. Considering they keep saying the left side is the best i had to sleep on my right or try not to put pressure on the left temple when it flared up.

Discussed it with my midwife and she said as long as your bp is normal, you are fine. You practically double ypur blood volume when you are pregnant, to cater for the growing foetus, so every organ and blood vessel in your cardio-vascular system is working harder than normal.

Mama, I think it will still stop cos I kind of experienced the same thing sometime during this pregnancy and I thought it was spiritual so I had to start praying about it then. lol

Lol @ diary, if I had used one, the names would have been more sef, i later even remembered some after posting. Some things just get to stick when u familiarize yourself with them.
