Hi everyone, This time I’m writing to you from Leon, a beautiful town in Northern Spain close to Asturias, my home. As you know, this Monday we start the qualifying stage for the 2018 World Cup that will take place in Russia and we notice there’s a lot of excitement around, both in the team and amongst the fans. Last Thursday we played a friendly game against Belgium in Brussels and the team left a very good impression. I think we showed character and we put into practice all the ideas that we had been working on before the game. Everything was just perfect. Many times you ask me about the atmosphere inside the team, both in Manchester United and here. With Spain, for instance, we travelled by train from Madrid to Leon on Sunday and the journey was as usual. Some guys were playing online video games with each other (making fun of everything!), some others were playing cards non-stop, a few here and there watched movies or series, and the rest of the players were either chatting, reading or even having a nap, although these days, if you do so, you are likely to find a picture of yourself fully asleep posted on a team-mate’s social network, so you always have to keep an eye open! And that’s how our journey was. After the international break, there is a game coming on Saturday that I’m sure many of you are waiting for: the Manchester derby. All of us are fully aware that this is a very special game, yet we have to understand that these are three points and don’t get too crazy. Both teams have started the Premier League well and the expectations are high, as everybody can imagine. David De Gea and me have been joking with Nolito and [David] Silva in the last few days, although the truth is we are now focused on the games with the national team. After that, we will have plenty of time to think about this exciting derby. Have a nice week. Hugs! Juan 2 Likes |

But we all know that Manyoo is the pdp of EPL though... Ferguson used to bully refs anyhow. Plus Fellaini jumps on the pitch running around elbowing people in the face and I don't remember him getting banned... And of course, who can forget the guy in the number 12 shirt for the red devils....Howard Webb. Halsey has a point...at least when it comes to manyoo 7 Likes 2 Shares |

I know we've heard this one before...but lemme just leave it here...for posterity at least. Ferguson was renowned for his treatment of referees, in particular a tactic of pointing at his watch towards the end of games where United needed a goal. PDP united... Who knows, maybe sir rednose is up to his old tricks again regarding the Aguero ban... |

LOL!! United is the PDP of EPL. United is the Don Corleone of English football. United have bribed their way to the top. United might be running drug cartels and the police are keeping mute. And after all these imaginary evidence, United are still competing, raking in the cheddahs, and shockingly no sanctions have been handed out to them. But Blatter, the ex-FIFA president was sanctioned. Platini booted out alongside Blatter for corruption. Juve relegated and titles stripped from them for corruption. AC Milan had points deducted from them for corruption. While SAF was bribing his way to numerous titles, Bayern board members and Barca players were being acquitted for fraud. Yet, Ferguson of United keeps escaping. Even to the point he chairs the meeting of all top European coaches!! Wow!! Just wow!! I never knew my club was this great and powerful that we can commit football murders and walk away free. All hail United the only corrupt club that can't be touched. You know two distinct traits of haters? - they suffer from nauseating hypocrisy and chronic amnesia. I don't need to post any link or YouTube video to prove these traits. Someone help me out please, I'm too old to remember these occurences: Which useless team, with their mouthy manager as of then, Mourinho, and rabid fans, threatened Anders Firsk into retirement simply coz they couldn't bribe their way like United does, just so they would win Barca? Did they get sanctioned for it? E never finish o. Please which team and their toutish pathetic fans did Norwegian referee, Henning Ovrebo, complained bitterly about, that they were sending him DEATH THREATS AND PLANNING TO KILL HIM FOUR MONTHS AFTER THEY MADE HIM RETIRE? AGAIN, SAME CLUB MADE A refree RETIRE JUST SO THEY COULD WIN BARCELONA. Once, is mistake, but twice? Against same Barca team? The same fans? The same club players that Ibrahimovic called bunch of babies in diapers for influencing a referee's decision right there on the pitch in our very own eyes? And the fact that after these two refrees were sought to be killed by the blood letting murderous toutish fan of this uber useless club from England, they later eliminated Barca on their way to the UCI title tells me something is fishy. Popular opinions abound that this team finally succeeded against Barca coz the ref. . . Well, you can connect the dots to know the rest. In case you are seeking for the answer. . . *singing in African China's voice* "If I say Chelshit, you say Shekpe FC, another man say Agbero club, omo na una sabi. . . They hate man, they hate Man U oooo for inside Nairaland. . . '' 14 Likes 4 Shares |

Nihilist:but I didn't see where SAF influenced anything in this match. You cleverly skipped the "it was chucking down rain" which means that it wasn't safe to continue the game and SAF did his civic duty by informing the ref to close the game. The ref suppose shame self that a manager is trying to do his job for him. We ended up drawing the game 3 - 3 so where is the PDP here? |
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by AdisaOwala: 1:26pm On Sep 05, 2016 |
Nihilist: No be today Managers dey try influence match proceedings in favour of thier respective clubs - the incessant complaints & rants at the touchline plus the mind games we have seen in pre-match pressers are testaments to that effect. Sir Alex was a famous & respected manager with a strong personality and it was only natural for some match officials to be intimidated with his pedigree. |

sinizia: Maybe you don't remember, but Jose Mourinho was actually talking about what he saw. He saw rijkaard following Firsk into the tunnel to talk to him, and then he mentioned it in his press conference. What some crazy fans decided to do is of no consequence to this discussions as fans will be fans. We all saw the balaclava clad fans that went to look for Rooney when he was asking for a new contract. I'm not sure how the conduct of a few deranged fans is relevant to a discussion about Ferguson's undue influence on referees. Me and you be paddies, but I'm not going to get involved in a raumdeuter style bait and switch. AGAIN, SAME CLUB MADE A refree RETIRE JUST SO THEY COULD WIN BARCELONA. grin grin grin Completely irrelevant again...Are we discussing crazy fans, or are we discussing mangers having direct undue influence on referees. Ferguson was PDP. The guy frustrated benitez so much that he came crying with the facts. I expect a factual rebuttal from you, not a post clearly designed to gather likes.... You can do better sinizia. I go wait.... Meanwhile, check out the cries of the only man bold enough to stand up to the then godfather of EPL.... Rafa, take it away... I was surprised by what has been said, but maybe they [Manchester United] are nervous because we are at the top of the table. 1 Like |

Nihilist:Even without ref help we pulled back from 3-1 to 3-3. We could have gotten a penalty at the end but the ref refused to give it. Pitch was so bad and that's not a good reason to call a game off? Fergie only wanted a good atmosphere for his boys and of course if it's good for his boys then it's good for his opponents too. He didn't ask for a penalty or did he? He wanted the game called off because of the bad weather condition the ref said no, fergie said no problem but instead focused on training his boys to come out top and you're here disgracing yourself |

The conspiracy theory that this guy is bringing up is an absurdity of the highest order. That elbow by Aguero is totally a red card offence. That's why it generated so much media attention immediately after the incident. Former referees Graham Poll and Dermot Gallagher both said it's a red card offence. DERMOT SAYS: It's a red card. I can't defend the referee. I was taught, look at his fist, if a player is going to throw his arm out violently, he has to clench his fist. Will he face retrospective action? I honestly don't know, because none of the officials witnessed that act. It's difficult to say the referee has not seen that, but he has not recognised it. Until the FA speak to the referee, we won't know, because he hasn't even given a free-kick. You comparing this particular one to the one against Sanchez is really laughable because Arsenal got a penalty for it while West Ham didn't get a free kick and Aguero didn't get a caution. This simply means the referee didn't see it. If we must accept your opinion about the whole issue that the referee saw it, then Aguero himself must be a part of your conspiracy. Aguero must have been paid to throw such elbow so as for him to get a straight red card or be banned later (in case the referee refused to give him a red card). Why did Aguero throw that elbow to make your conspiracy work? It is only when such things happens and somehow benefits Man Utd (in your opinion) that you people always bring up this conspiracy that Man Utd buys it's way to the top but when it happens other way round you people keep quiet as if nothing happened. In April 2011, Man Utd played against West Ham and Rooney swore into a TV camera which the match referee Lee Mason saw as nothing and rightly did nothing about. The FA took up the matter which didn't have any punishment in their laws and gave Rooney a two-match suspension. This made Rooney miss our FA Cup semi final match against Man City which Man City won and went ahead to win the cup in the final. This is what Harsley said about that as well: “I was in the same boat as Lee Mason that time when Wayne Rooney swore into a TV camera in a game at West Ham. No referee would have sent off for that, but Lee came under pressure to report that he hadn’t seen it but would have given a red card if he had seen it." What do you have to say about this? Always looking for excuses for their long drawn failure in the league. 3 Likes |

Nihilist:With recent events I can categorically conclude that most scummies lack the ability to think analytically, critically and logically. They will need u to spell everything out for them. a sport body makes its personnel sign gagging order and goes as far as entice them with £50000, with another ref denying the obvious thereby prompting a retired ref to divulge information on his past experience relating to such incident. Yet some dunderheads believe there's nothing to it cos their drowning club might be culpable. In case y'all don't know, retrospectives actions are to be taken on only off the ball infringement like that of Costa on Kos that refs didn't spot. Aguero's issue wasn't off the ball and the ref even spotted, but FA is treating it the other way. Take it or leave it. this Aguero's issue has been hijacked by some persons. 1 Like |
