Job Title: Project Manager
Location: Lagos

Job Purpose

Will be responsible for delivering every project on time, within budget and within scope and fully cooperate with the Client and improve the performance of the Consultants Team.

Job Responsibilities

Inspect and review projects to monitor compliance with Construction and safety codes and other regulations.
Will be responsible for ensuring that projects meet predetermined specifications and for ensuring that project objectives are met.
Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress.
Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques.
Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques.
Ensure full compliance with all standards, measurements, specifications and regulations.
Coordinate all pre-construction and construction work on site.
Responsible for ensuring projects run as scheduled and budgeted and take approval from Client before allowing the Contractor to execute variatrions.
I play a major role in pre-site and on-site debriefings with the on-site professionals.
Understand and communicate the site procedures and ensure they are adhered to.
Coordinating and collaborating with all Professionals and specialists to ensure that the project is delivered as planned.
Ensure full compliance with the quality control procedures and Project Procedure Manual.
Arrange and assist in conducting regular site safety checks.
Facilitates site surveys, site measurements, clients briefs, site meetings.
Investigate damage, accidents or delays at construction sites, to ensure that proper procedures are being carried out.
Will be responsible for controlling delivery and issuance of materials on site.
Manage workers quality of work on sites, attendances and punctuality levels.
Maintain a cordial relationship with the host community and regulatory authorities.
Prepare detailed reports and documents on a periodic basis.
Carry out any other responsibilities as required.
Determines labour requirements and dispatch workers to construction sites
Ensuring the submission by the Contractor of a detailed Construction Schedule on daily basis, checking the dlays and getting from Contractors proposals on how to recoup delays, etc.

Educational Requirements

B Sc /M.Sc in Civil Engineering or related courses
Professional Certification
Minimum of 10 years working experience

Required Skills:

Working knowledge of the engineering principles and practices applied in the planning of water resources projects, Irrigation, Agfriculture, Dams and General related Civil Engineering Projects.
Ability to prepare, interpret and utilize civil engineering plans, maps, specifications and reports.
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates, consultants and the public.
Ability to mentor national staff in road design engineering and AutoCAD.
Skilled in monthly report writing to clients.

Job Title: Structural Design / Supervision Engineer
Location: Lagos

Job Purpose

Has the responsibility for designing Projects related to challenging structures and conversant with computer modelling.
Perform statistical calculations and where the need arises dynamic calculations.
Comprehensive knowledge of principles of structural engineering design in areas of bridges, high-rise buildings, Reinforced concrete, water-tanks, etc. using steel, concrete and composite materials.
Construction Supervision. In addition, a first-hand understanding of Engineering Business, Marketing, Client relations & Project Management.

Job Specifications

Design consultation & Development, supervision of high-rise buildings, concrete structures, water tanks and other structural engineering Projects.
Prepare tender documents including detailed drawings, specifications & BOQ
Knowledgeable in structural modelling.
Carry out equipment & plant inspection during pre-mobilization stage and during construction supervision for Civil and structural engineering projects.
Participate in tender analysis and negotiations.
Review and approve workshop drawing for construction.
Construction Material Analysis / Selection, Supervision of construction and site installation works.
Liaise with other disciplines (Project managers, Architects, and other Engineers to coordinate design of Engineering projects)
International and National codes standards- Research and Application ( BS , Eurocodes, ACI, e.t.c )
Prepare & submit project report & progress reports as appropriate.
Participate in risk analysis and management.
Prepare test procedure plan; ensure that concrete tests are supervised in your presence. Additionally, ensure the AIM Consultants representative attends the steel tensile test and certifies test results.
Supervise commissioning programme and sign offs
Development of construction drawing, bill of quantities,
Draw up scope of works and drawing lists.
Checking of drafted drawing and making necessary amendments
Prepare the snag list at practical construction stage
Final inspection stage to be carried out in the presence of the Client Representatives
Ensure contractors submits shop drawings before foreman begins work
Ensure Contractor submits As-Built drawings

Qualification: B.SC/M.SC/Professional Certification

B.Sc in Civil Engineering
Minimum of 5 years’ experience (Nigerian) and 10 years (non-Nigerian)

Professional Certification:

Member of Governing Council of Professional Engineers in the Country of Origin

Skills and Abilities (IT Tools)
Highly proficient in the use of the following:

Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel, MS Project, & Outlook )
Auto-CAD 2014, Auto-CAD Revit,
Structural Design Software ( StaadPro , Tekla, Prokon, ETABS, SAFE, SACS )
Good command of English Language ( Oral & Written )
Follow field management procedures

Has the responsibility for taking off Quantities and submitting back up calculations showing the methodology of work.
Will be responsible for Pre-contract; Post-Contract & General Administration

Developing Bills of Quantities for building and site works
Interim and final valuations
Checking Contractor’s insurance Policy, workmen’s compensations, third party insurance, All risk insurance policy advance payment irrevocable Guarantee

Site measurement for variation & valuation
Pre & post project work (Financial reporting & Accounting)
Feasibility & viability study of project construction

Qualifications

B.Sc in Quantity Surveying with minimum 8 years Experience
Professional Certification: Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors, Institute of cost management, Chartered Institute of Arbitration, Nigeria.
This position is for Nigerian Nationals with at least 4 years’ experience in Consultancy and 4 years in Construction.

Professional Qualification:

A Registered Quantity Surveyor

Skills and Abilities (IT Tools):

Effective IT Skill; Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, project, power point )
Good working knowledge of QS-CAD & MB3 and preferably Auto CAD
