The question is simple; can you love without a reason?

I hope lalasticlala gets this thread out for more people to contribute.

In real terms, reasons for which u love fade over time.. No one is saying u could or should love without a reason.. He's only hypothetically saying if u could , perhaps relationships and marriages would last longer

Let me tell you why some relationships last...

Its simply because of:

1.Fear of starting all over again with a new person especially when you have spent years in it.

2. You are too old to start again

3. You are no longer at a good advantage.

Most affairs you see thrive on tolerance and not love.

The fact remains that there is no spelled out guidebook to keeping a relationship. Find what works for you.
Ps:Tolerance is borne out of a deep seated decision to overlook a person's flaws. So tolerance is not as far from love as you think.

Unfortunately for me I never got to experience Mother's love, because she passed away when I was an infant.

And because of that I really don't believe in love that much, I just have this believe that no girl can give me that love because it's very rare and special.

Her demise left me kinda broken still trying to fix things up, have tried to enter into 2 relationship, things were going smoothly but along the line the thoughts of her sprang up in my head, and I became estranged from girls,

Well all am saying is that the only love that is guaranteed is Mother's love,

Yes, we are attracted to certain qualities that why we even agree to date in the first place. But that in itself doesn't invalid love, it just means that there are certain traits we fancy.

What I don't believe in is love at first sight; that to me is infatuation but love built over time from spending quality time and getting to each other, that truly exists.

I believe that you have this opinion because you haven't experienced it. It's just like child birth if you have never had a child you can not claim to know the amount of pain women experience in the process.
So it's only expected that if you have never experienced true love you would conclude it doesn't exist or it's a "facade" as you call it.

Human love is a charade, a chase after the wind which is based on a condition and if the condition is no longer there, love fades and tolerance sets in with an eventual crash just for us to start looking for the right condition in another person which triggers the so called dumb words "I LOVE YOU".
