I was wondering why people said gionee battery was just a number. It is indeed better than Samsung in terms of battery only though and in nigeria, we all know how bad our power supply is.

Maybe u got the s7 as used... and mayb its battery has already reached its life span...

I got it as a new one from micro station in computer village. What is the average number of hours it should last on heavy usage?
My H+ connection is always ON...

i browse very well with Google Chrome. I heard chrome browsing on pc drains battery faster. I don't know if that also applies to using it on phone.

I belong to a lot of groups on WhatsApp so chats keep coming in although i muted them.

With such amount of usage, What is the average number of hours it should last?

S7 edge has a stellar battery. I honestly don't know why you are experiencing problems. My s6 edge still has a good battery even tho it's a year and 5 months old and quite smaller than s7 edge. Perhaps you should check what's draining your battery.

Exactly the same reason I sold my s6. The battery was so so horrible I charge it 3-4 times a day. The thing with Samsung phones is when u get it new it gets good battery life, but after a few months the battery deteriorates so bad that it can hardly make it past 2pm. My s6 was getting to 30% by 10am even though i use to have 100% by 7am.

Don't compare gionee m5 battery with s7. Gionee has 6020mah battery and on top of that it has just 720p display. It would last at least 3 times more than s7.

I am coming from the gionee end. Even my m3 was legendary although the hardware wasn't awesome. I intend resetting the s7 edge. Is it a good idea??

Your S7 give you 7 hours of use ? Whats your usage during the day ? Have you put your hungry apps behind a firewall ? Is your data constantly turned on ?
7 hours is not bad................................

well that's y I prefer phones with non removable battery at least u have peace of mind for a reliable battery.

They are also replacement batteries for non removable devices. It only involves lifting flaps and screws and the batteries can easily be swapped. Sorry to break the bad news..................................................

yup I know but it is very rare compared to when you can easily remove it and according to OP, it is a Samsung s7 edge so definitely he got it brand new nd imagine getting a brand new phone nd he is still a victim of battery probs

7 hours is actually not bad. The op might be a medium user.
If OP was a high user, op would only achieve about 3/4 hours

Bro changing the battery on the s7 is one hell of work and if u are not a professional u are going to screw things up. Plus there are 80% chances u will lose waterproof once the phone is opened unless u take it to authorized personnel. Galaxy s7 and s7 edge are not designed to be opened, even the gurus at ifixit can testify to that. Even galaxy s6 that is not waterproof u still need a lot of work to get to the battery. First u have to remove the back glass using heat,this is way more than a few screws. Just know ur s7 will no longer look like it is when it left the factory once it has been opened.

How many hours does yours last?? It's just admitting that the high end specs can't talky new enjoyed because the battery is horrible.

In ur dreams. Of course it can last even 48hrs. Just turn off ur data and use the phone for only making and receiving calls on power saving mode.

Set power saving and 6 days is achievable....

My own was s6 and u don't want to go near it if battery life matters to u. At. Brand new I was getting like 4-5 hours screen on time, it could last from 7am till 3pm on moderate use. But after a few months I started getting 2 and half hours of screen on time. If I have 100% by 7am the phone would already be at 30% by 11am and by 12 noon I will need to charge. On heavy usage it can hardly survive past 10am.

That's very bad though

I wonder why Samsung has refused to upgrade their battery. They should learn the technology from gionee.
