It is beyond outrageous to compare Tiwa to this woman, like geez!!! The OP needs to tender an unreserved apology to Tiwa Savage for daring to compare her with Toby Grey. This post is not to bash Toby Grey or discredit her hustle, but some misconceptions need to be addressed. While in a hurry to find a replacement for Tiwa, we shouldn't be forced to settle for sub-par performances while doing so.

On a normal day, Tiwa Savage still adds the R&B touch and adlibs to her music, irrespective of the type of beat she's given. Toby Grey? She felt so comfortable in the "Pangolo" music genre that you would be double sure she would struggle to adapt to mainstream music.

Her voice sounds nasal, the autotune embellishment makes it cringeworthy, that trying to make sense of her voice is a huge struggle. Yemi Alade is still manageable because of her energetic performances and clear identity, but Toby Grey is just not there at all. Period!

I am not ruling out the fact that there is room for improvement (and oh boy a massive improvement is needed), who knows, she might someday refine her music and sound to get to that level of near perfection. But right now, she is way off from toppling Tiwa.

I just stumbled on this track, Toby Grey ft Small Doctor, Laleyi. At first I was like, who be Toby Grey , Grey kor Blue ni. Then on seeing Small Doctor, I decided to give it another shot and risk my data as I gave the song a benefit of doubt.

To cut the long story short, I've been jamming the song since then, on repeat.

I was forced to check out the lady on google and found other numerous songs of hers Then I was convinced that she was really meant to be in the game. I became a fan instanta. .

Then, earlier today, I was in a public transport then the radio was on Wazobia FM. Alas! She was on air. Then a fan pulled through and raised a point that she is better and is meant to chase Tiwa Savage out of the industry. I quite agree with that, but I would love to know if there is anyone that reason like I do.

I just need your opinions.
