SmellingAnus:The odd thing is...it's only a man with millions or billions in his bank account reasons to put down a will...and we have few of them...but, those who do actually have. Na who get money dey write will na. |

When a wife suddenly wakes up and ask the husband if he wrote a will then he should be suspicious of her cos she will stop at nothing till she knows the will favours her and after that she might feel the husband has outlive his existence... |

It is irrational and irresponsible to have children, assets and no will. All you are doing is creating problems for the future. 4 Likes |

If you love ur children better write ur will on time,,,whether the kids become lazy or not dont matter,,,it will be very painful and pointless that when you die,one useless brother of yours and relative will claim ur property, and ur kids automatically will turn beggars,,,,, ,,writing will is wisdom and preparing for the unforseen and same time securing ur kids future,,, no one prays for death buts its inevitable,,, men should stop believing in tradition s,,we re in 21st century |

in my own case everything we own as couple, is contributory and our properties were bought with d children names so we don't have needs for that. but it's always advisable to prepare for any eventuality. 3 Likes 1 Share |

asuo27:yea but people have lawyers for different reasons, I heard of a billionaire that has an only son and daughters from a different woman, the dad was gravely ill and all the son could do was to go and secure his dad's properties because he thought the dad will not make it alive, the day finally recovered and heard of what happened and decided to write his will... (this happened in Rivers State)... |

A will is nt so important to m because we do things jointly in our names. As for access to a partner's financial accounts,if d spouses v each other's ATM passwords then i dont nid to go into d bank to access funds. Long life together is wat i pray for. We r each other's next-of-kin n in case of eventuality,my spouse will take everything i v cos we belong to each other. 3 Likes 1 Share |

What stop my wife from writing her own Will too? It amazes me when I hear about how some women expect their husband to have a life insurance. Despicable!!! What stop my wife from having a life insurance too? Nobody knows his/her last day on earth, she might even die before me. |

It's never a good idea for your partner to know the content of your will, no matter how you love him/her. |

Re: Are Nigerian Men Scared Of Having A Will? by Teespice(f): 2:07pm On Sep 08, 2016 |
as humans, death is inevitable. someday we will all die. preparing a will is what most people will see as an invitation to death but it is not so. it is a way of organising your affairs after ones demise so that things still stay the way it is, more like putting your house in order. sadly, most people think otherwise once will is mentioned. 1 Like |

babysophie:These are not enough ma. What if the ATM card expires? How does the person alive claim his/her spouse's money? What of pension savings? Next of kin does not automatically confer the rights of beneficiary to a person. Next of kin simply means who to call if they can't reach you. We made www.proxywill.com to serve as an alternative to the legal will. It is still best to have a will and use proxywill as an archive for it. Note: you can self write your will with or without the assistance of a lawyer. 1 Like |
