I see some people are still lying at the embassy about their intended reason for travel, I thought we were already passed that. Just so you know, people are getting turned back everyday at the POE for the same reason, the fact that you don't personally know anyone doesn't mean it doesn't happen.

A friend finally came clean about her situation: apparently she was deported for not declaring her true intention during the interview. Shame wouldn't let her return to her home in Lagos so she moved to Port Harcourt and had her baby. All along, we thought she was in Yankee. I don't know why she chose to tell us the truth since we would never have known anyway.

On a side note, if you must misrepresent, please have a thick skin, or better still, do not inform your friends and family until you are safely at your final destination so that in the event that you perhaps get deported, it becomes easy to return to your home without the worry that people would laugh behind your back.

Good day wonderful people, pls for clarification purpose. I have gone through the Nigeriahouse website for procedures for processing Nigeria passport/Visa for baby, here are my questions and I would appreciate your answers:

1. Do I apply separately for the passport and the Visa, or do both come at once?
2. The passport required to be submitted for processing the visa, is it the child's US passport or the passport of the parents?
3. If its that of the parents, is it the original copies or the photocopies?
4. The flight itinerary required, is it that of the parents or the child's?

Thank you for anticipated responses.

Dear Mamas and Papas,

Please does anyone have a friend or colleague returning to Nigeria from Qatar/Doha between now and the next weekend? If so please I might need the person's help with picking up an item from a friend. Sorry for bringing this here but if you can and are led to extend this help, kindly let me know how I can contact you. God bless.

I con ask am whether na for Beverly Hills abi for Calabasas him want make we stay on top this dollar ish. How is your lil one doing too? Regards
Lol @ your hubby. I have read some stuff about it too, particularly about Craiglist apartments. May God continue to protect us.

2nd missionary journey fully activated.
Travelled on Sunday with my son used Emirates and he was of his best behaviour, did not stress me at all
Came in through almighty Houston POE
POE Experience:

CBP: hello madam what are you here for (starring at my stomach)

Me: Am here to have my baby

CBP: so u had him here also

Me: Yes

CBP: did you pay ur bills?

Me: offcourse I did

CBP: how much cash do you have with you today?

Me: $5,900

CBP: he wrote I/A on my customs card ( immediately I knew it was time for secondary inspection) he said madam step forward an officer will come for you.

When I got into the room, it was full with all sort of people waiting to be called, I sitted for a while and an officer came out and called all nursing mothers into a room, but my son was well behaved and no one noticed us, we just maintained our sit, I was surprised when I heard my name after about 15 mins.

2nd CBP Officer: we exchanged pleasantries. And he asked what am here for?

Me: to have my baby

2nd CBP Officer: so how much do u have with u?

Me: $5,900

2nd CBP Officer: you had you first son here? Yes. Did u pay ur bills? Yes I did. Can I see the receipts please? I gave it to him, then he asked for a receipt showing the total amount paid

Me: I told him there is nothing of such, that you pay different health providers for services they have provided so there is no way to get a cumulative bill.

2nd CBP Officer: oh I get it . And he stamps me and off I went.

I headed to agric cos I declared food and I told the man there I have food only in one bag and he asked me to open d bag, I had onion noodles and Oriental(one over sabi read the back of Oriental and discovered there is chicken written on d ingredients) and they were going to seize it, I just told them d chicken is only in d spice, dat can they take out the spice and give me d noodles, which they agreed to, they also seized my knowr.

2nd Testimony

Hubby went for his interview on Thursday.

After exchanging pleasantries.

VO: what are u going to do in the US

DH: To join my wife for d delivery of our baby.

VO: Then he started asking him what he went for in d countries he has previously travelled to

DH: official training

VO: he handed over the white paper to him and told him to pick up in 3 days.

No document was checked not even bank statement. After doing whala to go and pay Doctor fee and hospital fee d previous day and he had to print at the embassy that morning. In all we grateful to God and the wonderful people of this thread.
Coming back to share my mum visa testimony next week by God's grace.

Congrats to all new mamas! Just checking in. Please I have a question: since my son is a citizen, is he entitled to any aid like Medicaid or CHIP? The bills are running HIGH. Just MRI is $5k and this does not include the anesthesia he was given for the procedure or radiologist bill. And that's just 1 of the many tests and procedures he's been through. I'm talking setting up payment plan and the hospital staff are advising I get him a Medicaid no. Using his social security, because they forsee bills running really high...
Abeg everyone help me before I make a wrong decision. I'm so distressed right now.

Avoid that by all means. It's not fair on American tax payers who have to pay for their own childbirth and still pay into the system.

Started looking for since June all to no avail, I opened account in almost all d banks, I must confess it was frustrating.

How I got my funds.

A darling friend and mum on this thread was going on vacation, so she and hubby got $8,000 and they sold $2,000 to me at N310

Thanks to my mum too she had $4,000 in her domiciliary account and I begged her to sell to me she refused, after seeing all d whala I was going thru she begged me to come and take it sef and offcourse I got it cheap.

On my travel date got to d airport early so I can get from travelex, after checking in we got there and the claimed they ran out of funds and they were expecting but can't disclose the time the funds will get there for security reasons, I stood there since around 2 till past 5 and this money no come ooo.

But as you know the Nigeria situation, people who knows who were coming right in front of us and they were taken to d back door to give them what they claimed to have exhausted.

School for thought: They said they can sell to you with the online boarding pass, so you can as well try hustling with that a day b4 ur flight. Just check in 24hrs b4 ur flight date.

Goodluck.

I really understand how you are feeling right now as a human being and as a mother. It will not be normal if I tell you not to be distressed, but I can only tell you to hold strongly to God, He is the only one to calm your distresses right now. Just remember also that we are praying for you, in the end, you will give testimonies.

Had mad cramps all thru that night i could barely sleep but i thought it was BH contractions/false labour since i was just 37wks gone.

By morning the contractions were gone and i was all agile as if nothing happened. Thank God i had docs appt that day so went to see the doctor, a midwife at the office checked me and said i was already 7cm dilated. Omo na so they said i have to be admitted to the hospital oo.

Labour was for 20minutes. Vaginal birth; no epidural. Oluwa was totally involved!! I listened to Dansaki re by Lola while doing the pushing business...lool!Great Song!

Used Henrico Doctors Hospital, Richmond, VA.
I prepaid $2300 to the hospital
Dr- $960 (Delivery + 1st Appt)

So far this is what i've paid...waiting for detailed bills frm doc n hosp... hoping no further payments have to be done ooo...i will keep you posted!

Staff of the hospital were extremely nice!! Midwife was professional and easy. Doctor couldnt make it cz i had delivered befr he came.

Now xray for u?
Wait are u not pregnant? Are u supposed to b exposed to radiation? Anyway what do I know.

Ok let me explain a little. 7 weeks ago I saw a small bump on my baby's right side, just under the ear. Being who I am, I freaked out. Called a Dr friend who looked at it, said it was mumps and recommended vit C, Augumentine, and ibuprofen. I didn't stop there o. By day 3 of antibiotic use, I saw a peadiatrician, she confirmed the mumps diagnosis. Said I was on track with the treatment and asked me to come back in a week. I did. Swelling was still there. She said watch it for a few days and come back. I did. Swelling was still there. By this time, I had seen 2 other friends who are pediatricians (I have many doctor friends. I work in a hospital) One advised Orelox since his temperature was 37.6. I contacted my son's peado. She said instead of 7 days, I should do 10 days of orelox. I gave him. Swelling was increasing. Then I went to Lagos for a course so I saw another peadiatrician. He immediately ordered blood tests and a mantoux. Blood tests came clean. Slightly elevated WBC mantoux read 10mm. Blood film showed normocytes throughout. Then they sent me to dentist, ENT surgeon and general surgeon. I saw all of them. ENT sent me for an ultrasound and result said parotid tumor. Surgeon suspected a malignancy.
By this time, I decided to pack myself to the US. Tumor and malignancy in Naija is scary especially with a baby less than 2. Got here, checked into the hospital and they repeated blood work, repeated scan because they wanted to start small. Scan made them suspect rhabdimyosarcoma. So they did a CT. Result inconclusive. The radiologist advised MRI. They did and it showed enlarged lymph nodes but no definitive evidence of malignancy. They called infectious disease people who because of the mantoux result said they suspect TB. I told them he had BCG. They said 10mm is too big. They've run tests for him. Did fine needle aspiration and tissue removal for path and infectious disease ppl and still they have nothing to tell us...
Fear hasn't allowed me to even go see My own Dr. I say pata pata labor will start and I will born inside his ward. But I'm not leaving his side...
