Hmmm, very dicey now,if your are including your Msc cert and you are now going for pgc, couple with the stress of this pgc issue,it might raise red flag, and if you insist a lot of pple are already in that field in your SOP might not sound intelligently, the only option i know is you taking a risk with your 3rd class, then now state what you have achieved in terms of experience. jayjayjay007: |

leumasnuges3: Congrats. Make us proud when you get to Canny. I understand you are going for Bsc. Show those Canadians a lesson by finishing top of your class. BTW, when did you apply and what mode of application did you use? Paper or online. 2 Likes |

iyobs7:you asked a nice question and as i have seen,he/she is going for undergraduate study. the rephrased manner to put in the statement could be, what is your total funds available for 1year at least and how much was the closing balance as of the period of printing the statement and submitting the application.i think this would help understand him/her clearer? thank you. 1 Like |

michV: Thank you for restructuring the question. I am a little bit confused as to who will be my sponsor. 1. My sisters husband who is a psychologist in the UK. 2. My cousin, a medical doctor who just secured a good paying job at Julius Berger Abuja 700k per month. He has spent up to a year now. 3. My other cousin who has a private company in Abuja, His wife works at NNPC Abuja, has 3kids who were born in America. I am confused as to who to use as my sponsor. This is really important. I know I have asked loads of questions here but I just want to be sure so as not to make any mistakes. Thank you. One more detail, I am applying at Concordia University of PGD Computer Science. I studied Computer Science in India which is for a period of 3years and normally I cannot use a 3years degree for Masters so I have to go through PGD before applying for MSC in any IT related field. |

jayjayjay007: your sop is reasonable but I am not persuaded it will fly with the Canadian VOs not with what we have seen with pgc application. First you need to give a more convincing reason why you what to change career field and also how much the pgc will enhance your career in this new field |
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 11 by Tarry(m): 4:53pm On Sep 09, 2016 |
jayjayjay007: In view of what we have witnessed recently with PGC application, I am not convince you application will fly with this Canadian VOs. You need to come up with more convincing reason why you want to change career field, like extra ability, passion and ambition in this field. Changing career and leaving behind you previous career and qualification is a. big deal hence strong reason. Furthermore, you need to go for course that will enhance your career prospect, a PGC will not do for a person with master but you can choose a pre master or a PGD that is a prerequisite for a master and indicate that a master is the goal |

Hi guyz, I'm preparing to reapply to tackle the refusal based on insufficient funds. I have spoken to my sponsor and she is willing to transfer 5m to my accountamd writing to confirm she made that transfer to me to cover my 1st Semester tuition and One year accommodation, which is about 14000 CAD. After this transfer she will have a balance of 4m in her naira account and 8.7m of Treasury bills maturing sept 22. She is also going to going to write that she will b making £4500 available to me quarterly. And a foreign pays slip and soa to that effect. Secondly i spoke to an uncle of mine who is a perm secretary/account general of a state in Nigeria. And he willing to support me to the tune or 2.5m in total and issue a sponsorship letter drafted on his official letter head and signed, along side a sworn affidavit to dat effect. Kindly note that the total amount i have available is 7.5m before my application. My tuition is 24k ane minimum 10k required by cic. Pls what are my chances? |

Hello guru in the house, I am very confuse and I really need advice from the house.. my TRV was refuse last week and my brother advised me to reapply with the aid of an immigration lawyer. There reason for my refusal was That I did not satisfy the VO that I will leave Canada at the end of study. i. Purpose of visit. ii. current employment situation. I have already applied GCM record which am waiting for there reasons for denial. Please I want to know if an immigration lawyer has any major role to play in making sure that my visa is approved. I wait for all your response |
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 11 by Tarry(m): 6:26pm On Sep 09, 2016 |
iamosamede55: you mentioned that your sister have a bank balance of 50,000 GBP in her statement of account, this is quite enough, I believe the problem was the sponsorship offer was not convincing enough. the VO did not believe that those fund in your sister SOA are available to you. All the column for fund were tick in the refusal letter including fund for travel expenses and maintenance. However, I believe you will be fine with this new arrangement You need to obtain your GCMS to ascertain why you were refused |

stillo209: It means that your application is being worked on by a VO. You should receive a message from CIC anytime soon. |
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 11 by Tarry(m): 6:40pm On Sep 09, 2016 |
Victory1989: you mentioned both immigration lawyer and immigration office interchangeably, but they are not the same. I believe your question is "if an immigration lawyer has any major role to play in making sure that my visa is approved. The answer is NO! However, an immigration lawyer has vast knowledge of the immigration law and can properly advise you on steps to take to increase your chance of approval 2 Likes |

Hello house, pls I need ur urgent help.My application was recently refused and my gf now wife application was successful and she resumes any time from now. I intend to apply for sowp instead of study permit again. My wife still carries her maiden name since we werent married before her application was approved. My questions now isWhat are the necessary documents I require to apply for the sowp bearing in mind she is yet to change her name and can I use my aunt statement of account as proof of finance for the application? .Advice and output are welcome |
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 11 by Tarry(m): 7:05pm On Sep 09, 2016 |
lekan282: you will need to provide your marriage certificate as well as wedding pictures and any other document you can get to validate your marriage with your wife. For finance you need proof of sufficient fund for one year, you can use your aunt statement of account as proof of finance as long as you can proof relationship and she write a good letter of sponsorship 1 Like |

Hello everyone, I'm new here... graduated with a 3.55. I would like to have my masters degree in International Relations, Mcmaster University. Don't know if anyone is familiar with this school. Their minimum requirement is a B+ in a 4 years first degree. Please can anyone explain how I can calculate my GP in relations to the B+. thanks |

michV: Haha boss I've been trying to message you but my phone's been acting up. Really taken aback at your refusal, and there's only one forward now: getting the GCMS note and submitting an improved application. About admission, MSc with funding should be top priority for you if you can get it. That one will not turn you to a prayer warrior overnight (if you've not been one :p) and increases your chances of an approval. Even if you do get a thesis based masters without funding, just ensure the money needed for your first year and a little more is in your account. Put all the focus on you, and that way you're solving the evidence of financial capacity. |
