Virginia Woolf in a quote said "One cannot think well, love well, sleep well, if one has not dined well".
It might come as a surprise to know that most of the thing we dine on daily are quite poisonous if not moderated.
Below are some of the dangerous food we eat.
1. Cashews
Raw cashews contains urushiol, an oily organic allergen found in plant and high levels of this chemical can cause fatal allergic reaction.
2. Rhubarb
Rhubarb leaves contain oxalic acid (a toxic colorless crystalline organic acid) normally used as a bleach and rust remover. Rhubarb can cause kidney stones, breathing trouble, seizures and kidney failure.
3. Tomatoes
The stems and leaves of tomatoes contains a poisonous alkali substance called Glycoalkaloid which can cause stomach upset, severe cramping, and anxiety. This alkali poison is also found in unripe green tomatoes.
4. Almonds
The bitter almonds contains a large amounts of hydrogen cyanide and a large doses of cyanide prevent the cells from using oxygen. It also affects the heart, system and central nervous system.
5. Potatoes
The leaves, stems and sprouts of potatoes also contains Glycoalkaloids. Eating glycoalkaloids can lead to cramping, diarrhea, headaches and coma. Also Glycoalkaloids can build up in rotten potatoes especially when exposed to light.

This op is funny, you posted 5 out of 10 and ur looking for front page.

Actually those are stuffs Nigerians don't eat on the regular. However other not so healthy foods like roasted corn, boli, suya, generally roasted foods etc contain soot and ash which aren't friendly to the gut.
They can induce ulcers, they can also induce gastritis.
And worse even, they can induce uneven gut cell division leading up to stomach cancers 20-40yrs down the line.
