All those of you insulting Buhari and wishing Nigeria doom, why don't you go and live in Greece, Azerbaijan etc whose passport are ranked higher than Nigeria but whose economy are in shambles? How many times was Greece bailed out by the EU? Have you bothered to disect the parameters used at arriving at such if not pure malice towards Nigeria? Despite our present economic challenges, Nigeria economy is still far ahead of not less than 45 African countries and some Asian and Latin American countries like El-Salvador. Last year or so the British passport had access to more countries than the German. Since the exit of Mr. Cameron, it behind Germany by two countries, will Britons start insulting Theresa May for their supposed ill-luck cos they enjoyed favoured position than May's era? Without out gain saying we all know American passport is highly desire more than some countries placed ahead of it, so will Americans call for Obama's head because their country ain't in pole position? It goes to show that most comments here are borne out of infernal hatred for current Nigeria leader and even if Nigerians fart at the wrong time, it must be Buhari. If most of you think Nigeria is Doomed and Benin Republic well off, I guess it better to go and take up Benin citizenship since her passport has access to more countries than Nigeria. Let the renunciation of Nigeria's citizen begin... 1 Like |

Let be frank, Babe German and US pasport, which is your favorite? I hope Americans will call for Obama's head with this latest since he has taken America behind Germany. Naija people suck with their hate filled comments Sweetlemon: |

Is Pakistan safer than Nigeria security wise? Get your fact right and stop this hatred induced bigotry. India has more than a bill ion population and up to 2000 ethnic groups and tribal languages...even hindi is not the official language..like Nigeria, Government or official language is English. Fragmentation of Nigeria is not the solution but change of mindset. If we accuse the northerners of disregard of human lives, how can we describe our attitude down south where we lynch petty thieves and celebrate those looters who placed us into this dungeon? Kidnapping, ritual murders etc ain't thses synonymous with southerners? Amah70: |

We all contribute to how others see us. Instead of blabbing Buhari this, Buhari that (and before him GEJ, and before GEJ others) better roll your sleeves up and make Nigeria a better place by working hard (mind you, by working I do not mean showelling public funds into your own pockets) 1 Like |

Amah70: South Sudan is not as deadly as Nigeria A country that is going through one of the worst humanitarian crisis in Africa due to the greed and power drunkenness of two men? Eritrea left Ethopia, what is their fate today? Djibouti is a homogeneous country, how developed are they? Gambia is a homogeneous country, what is their progress? Guinea Bissau is a small country, what is their fate, and how developed are they? Rwanda had just two ethnic groups, three. But one deemed it fit to exterminate the other in its desperation to retain power. Malaysia is diverse, yet they have made more progress than any of those "homogeneous" countries you listed up there. For 50+ years, Nigeria has a huge infrastructural deficit and other problems because The leaders across board are greedy, not because the country is a multi ethnic country. Hausa man that stole money, did he build up his region? Igbo man stole money, did he build up his region? Even Jonathan held away for 5 years, what is there to show for it? Obasanjo 8 years yet the roads in OTA are death traps. So what are we saying? cc pimpping |

eaglechild: I get your point. But the problem is that this is Africa, that has over 2000 languages and people. Based on that logic, it means Africa has to split into at least 1500 countries which would be too small to assert its influence on the world stage. You talk of France, U.K., Germany, USA etc these countries are over 60 million people, and they were not always the way they are currently. If you know history, then you will understand what I mean. But how many African tribes have up to 60 million people? That is why for countries to thrive in Africa, there has to be some intersection, and for these countries to work, the structure has to be good, which unfortunately, most African countries are not. If we can adopt the Switzerland model, I think African countries can work too, because The Swiss people are not homogenous, but because of the system, they are progressing. Even Canada too, the same thing |
