…says Oloibiri represents years of neglect

By Emmanuel Elebeke, Susan Onuorji & Rebecca Amos

The Federal government has said the major reason that informed its decision to clean up Ogoni land was to address the long years of neglect by successive governments.

The Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, made the disclosure in his comments at the screening of the movie ‘’Oloibiri’ in Abuja.

He said the government was ready more than ever before to address all the injustice meted against the people of the region.

His words: "It is remarkable that one of the first things we did as a government was to redress the long neglect. Oloibiri in its form represents neglect and bloody memories. I invite all Nigerians home and in the diaspora to see the futility of anger through the tragic lives of protagonists.

“Oloibiri invites us to realise that Nigeria belongs to all of us. This motion picture implies that every action ought to show consideration to the land and our fellow human beings. OloiIbiri’s story is a resultant effect of governmental neglect of our past.’’

Among those who witnessed the screening of the film were the Minister of Environment, Amina Mohammed; Minister of Labour and Employment, Dr. Chris Ngige; Minister of State for Environment, Alhaji Ibrahim Jibril and the Special Adviser to the President on Niger Delta, Brigadier-General Paul Boro, retd.

There goes Mr Lie again

Mr minister, the good people of Nigeria have learned to verify your words and pick out the ones that sound true to them. Unfortunately they may end up not picking single truth from the many hours speech you deliver from time to time, so they resolve to searching for new English words from your speech, but disappointed as usual

APC are building almighty castles in the media through their sophisticated children of fallen sophisticated lieing angel.

They are doing the clean up with 10,000 military men. They are already there with their tools for clean up such as Ak, tanks, jet, and other amunitions that will help clean up NigerDelta very well to access oil freely.

Whether the ofemmanus now want to use crude oil as their cooking oil is what i can't tell with the way they justify military operation in NigerDelta but fail to voice out loud against fulanis killing people.
