Time out ladies, (and gents) I'm sitting here at 3:36am LA time, having "byestfed" my little man, and decided to catch up on whats been going on on the thread... Yes, we have had so many great testimonies, visa issuance, POE successes, live and miraculous births, reduced flight tickets, free additional luggage allowances ... HOWEVER, some cases (shared here) jump out at me and i realise that along with the testimonies, we also have some arrows being shot. I remember recent posts from temyb, Blaize777, Lajoie33. And others i may have missed out (pardon me) I identify with these issues, because i have children. I know the heartbreak i go through when one of them scrapes their toe on a stone and draws blood, not to talk of major matters like this. I remember you all in my prayers this morning. May God honour His Name in all this! Stay blessed! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KhxT6d5UYcU "He's Able" (feat. Darwin Hobbs / Voices Of Unity) [Leader:] Exceedingly, Abundantly Above all, all you could ask or think According to, the power That worketh in you, you... God is able to do just what He said He would do He's gonna fulfill every promise to you Don't give up on God, cause He won't give up on you He's able [Chorus x2:] God is able to do just what He said He would do He's gonna fulfill every promise to you Don't give up on God, cause He won't give up on you He's able [x2] [Leader:] Oh, oh oh oh, oh oh oh He's able 27 Likes |

Flowers: How are you, our friend from way way back. Hope your little one is bouncing. I keep relishing those days of $1 to 190. We were even complaining bitterly. If some prophet had shown me this naira crash. We would have fired very well and produce twins . 16 Likes |

Lajoie33: Lajoie33, it is well with your son and your entire family IJn. My prayers are with you always. I read ur case to my sister that I'm staying with, she and her husband are both doctors here in the US (with years of practice in Nigeria before they moved to the states. They advised that your doctors may also want to look out for a condition known as Burkitt Lymphoma. Common among African children. It may take them time to diagnose it here as its not common in the US. Said its a very common condition amongst children in Nigeria and its not expensive to treat. Not terminal either if diagnosed and treated promptly. You can read more about it on Google 4 Likes |

ME: He works at.. yes in October CBP: when is baby due? Me: October .. CBP: where will u stay Me: with a friend at... CBP: ok. Thats fine and stamps me in. No checks at agriculture... Carry your cash oh!!! The way it works is that after they go through your documents and aoprove, the write the equivalent in Naira of the amount they are selling to you on the first bank teller. Then you go downstairs to first bank, pay your cash and return to them with the teller, then you get your dollars. Getting a teller filled in the first place is the real hustle. After that it's guaranteed they will sell to you. All the best !!! quote author=Niksie post=49243239] Thanks LadyAy, you were able to use POS at Travelex right?[/quote] 2 Likes |

Hello, everybody ! I delivered baby 2 days ago in St. Francis Medical Center, LA. It was fast and hard we arrived in the hospital when I was 9 cm. it was second baby. They didn't have a chance to give me epidural. So they just told me . You will deliver right now ! I was surprised because I didn't feel my contractions on 9 cm..it was barely painful. Pushing was very hard for me. So dr M had to cut me and use vacuum to take out my baby girl. He explained that her head is big. Actually it's 37 cm. So dr M and pediatrician assured me that it doesn't affect her head and brain at all. But in general I feel that I had better experience in MIHS 2 years ago then here. But it's fine , it's ok. Besides, I have a question to LA moms. How can I get birth certificate faster ? Lady from records told me it took 1,5 months. Do you have any recommendation ? How to hurry up them? 18 Likes |

Enishit: What hospital did she use? U didn't give back' to us on behalf of your sis o #Paythedebt# Well, to your question BC's are collected from county office not hospital and she does not need SSN to collect. Provide hospital name, we can tell her where to pick up 1 Like |

Congratulations Varvara. 1.5 months for birth certificate is not correct... I had my baby at St Francis Hospital last week (September 2nd to be precise). The admin lady told me it takes 10 business days for birth certificate to be ready at the LA county office. HOWEVER, i called the county yesterday 9th September, and i have confirmed that my birth certificate is ready. I will be collecting it on Monday 12th. You should ask that she should book it as an expedited request. Also if youre in a hurry, you should already book your passport appointment... The open dates are going far into the future... Hello NL mums and intending Mums! To God be the glory am live in Maryland. Just got in a few hours ago and I know as custom I must give back! So flew qatar airways got a 8.5 Hr layover so we checked in to the hotel in the airport. We started the journey to the US this morning and no us rep disturbed me or asked questions I was flying into IAD- dulles. We landed and the que na die, so transcript goes ME: helloooo how are you in *my best British accent ever..lol CBP: am fyne, he takes my son's passport and looks at his face Then goes so why are you here. Me: childbirth and vacation CBP: Oh you pregnant and I push forward my tummy well though I was wearing a maxi dress Me: Yes I am CBP: do u have a doctor which I replied yes with receipts do you want to see and he said I would want to. I hand him over the envelope which includes zero balance from my doctor, the pos receipt then a letter stating he is my dr and I have paid xx amount of money to him and my hospital bills are seperate and be paid after delivery. CBP: so what is the estimate he gave you which I answered and he acknowledged that is true as it could be less or more due to whatever I use as service CBP: okay scan your right finger and the rest is history. Writes TWO on my immigration form and asks I proceed to baggage check. Now I got porters to help this is what he said: he looked at my form and said thank God I wld be going out straight that if they write A on your form that is agric, if it's B it means secondry inspection and two or other number depends on amount of pple travelling together you free to go. So in all I had no secondry inspection oh forgot he asked how much I had and I told him as well. He aslo asked if hubby would be coming I said yes when d baby is due but for now he is busy at work. Am fagged out and tired! In all like it's preached here be honest, I think a form of payment is always veryy good too rather than correspondence letters. The zero balance from the Dr helped I saw his acknowledged look wen he even saw the POS receipts. so na to chilax and sleep then baby shopping I guess. No stress sory for any typos make una no vex 18 Likes |
