These solutions you are reading online doesn't work for Nigeria's devices because they are only applicable to software version 21.300.xx.xx.xx & below....while Nigeria's devices start from 21.311.xx.xx.xx & above.. ...

If you don't unlock you can't downgrade, for you to unlock, you need to get the hash code, for you to get the hash codes, you need to read the NVRAM...for you to read NVRAM, you need to solder USB to the board...if you solder USB...it connects n disconnects continuously because of USB support disabled on the Nigeria's devices software version...so tell me, how can you achieve the feat if USB didn't work or how many techy people owns this that would have time to stress themselves going through this... , the job has be to done by someone.

To all Huawei E5172 router owners wondering why Ntel network cannot work on it, here is why

General rule:
LTE band number = log10(x) / log10(2) + 1

e.g. 0x8000000000 in hex = 549755813888 in decimal
log10(549755813888) = 11.740169831
log10(2) = 0.3010299957
11.740169831 / 0.3010299957 = 39
39 + 1 = 40

LTE Band 40 is TDD 2300MHz
While NTEL operate on FDD 800MHz, 900MHz, 1800MHz, 2100MHz.

In a nutshell, the router is on TDD band which #Ntel won't operate on. There are two types of E5172; E5172s-920 & E5172bs-925. Both are unlockable BUT would not work with NTEL.

Nothing on the back of the device shows it's the Russia type , besides there was someone who used the DC-unlocker and still couldn't get this type unlocked, so you probably mistook this modem for some other modem

If your devices have been upgraded to the latest firmware 21.318...., it would be permanently locked BUT I have a solution to that now.
