marauka: If the work placement is in between your course yes you can extend your visa without leaving the UK and you have to also show that you have the money for the remaining time in the UK. You can also apply within the UK to start a new course without leaving the UK as long as you did that before your current visa expires |

Bourne007: justwise: No he cannot It is sometimes possible to decide after arriving in the UK to add a work placement to your course. If you add a work placement and, as a result, need to spend longer in the UK, you will have to make another Tier 4 immigration application. The Home Office will treat you as if you are starting a new course so if you apply for your visa on or after 6 April 2016 you will not be able to start your course with a work placement until you have made your new Tier 4 application. You will have to make this application outside the UK because the Home Office says that you do not meet its definition of 'academic progress'. For these reasons, it is important that you discuss adding a work placement with your course provider as early as possible, and some colleges and universities might not be able to offer this option. http://www.ukcisa.org.uk/Information--Advice/Working/Can-you-work#layer-5430 Tier 4 guidance, paragraph 306 There's also another link but my network is so bad I can't open the attached image in my mail box. Finally, I am currently in Nigeria to extend my visa because I added a one year work placement. 1 Like |

Justyce: Apart from complications that might arise with the red oil, yes you're allowed to. Most people freeze the red oil or bottle it and wrap tight, then hope for the best. 1 Like |

spikesC: You are reading from a wrong headline. That paragraph is referring to a case where a student changed course. The op is not changing course or changing sponsor. 1 Share

justwise: Yeah, i know. Unfortunately, they've deemed changing to a sandwich degree as a change of course. The most basic decision they made is, if you're not progressing to a higher level, you must apply from outside. To enforce this new rule, my university insisted I must have exited the country and sent a proof that I did (POE stamps) before I would be issued a CAS. I have attached an excerpt of the email notification sent out by the university. And also attached the discussion between UKCISA and UKBA. The link is (http://institutions.ukcisa.org.uk/Info-for-universities-colleges--schools/Info--guidance/tier-4-compliance/2016/) and I just noticed you need to be a member to view it.

justwise: Yes sir the work placement comes before my final project. I want to get it right before I leave for the UK next week. If I need to reapply for visa, I would rather do it from here before leaving. Thank you so much for your response. |

[ Yes and i think even justwise has mentioned here too in his subsequent posts. You can correct with pen or type or write a short cover letter telling the vo that there is an error on ur dob when you printed it out that the actual dob is so so and so. Simple if this second option makes u more better. Its allowed cos thats why u see them courier those application forms with ur oda supporting documents to the Uk for processing, thats the only way to correct as you cant correct it again after online submission. Write it neatly on an A4 sheet explaining just as have said to show the discrepancy in ur dob. All the best dear! fizzile: |

You could say Sir, please be aware there was an input error in my date of birth after printing out my application and submitting it online. Pls find below my correct date of birth in correspondent with all other documents and my passport. Then you input your dirth of birth e.g (12th May 1900). Thank you sir for your understanding. Simple just write it neatly like that the visa officer will take note of the correction. You have notin to worry or panic about dear, have made such mistake bfr too in d date of my USA visa issuance when asked for date and month of issuance all i did was write a small note to the VO and i have been having no issues with them. fizzile: |

My apologies for deleting those posts but... @Smartoes. I'm sorry but your sort of question will not be discussed here. The debate about whether the ECO has the right or not to verify bank account is not going to take place here because it's pointless. It's your decision to move the money and you have to live with it. 3 Likes |

spikesC: You are referring to a different scenario, this is not the case with marauka, he is not changing course, sponsor or reseating course/exam. The work program is part of his course and approved by the university. Read your attachment again and you will see the constant reference to change |

Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 3 by OlowoB(m): 8:56am On Sep 15, 2016 |

Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 3 by OlowoB(m): 8:58am On Sep 15, 2016 |
Inexplicable: Once you have gotten a decision mail, wait for about 3-5 working days, once you don't Get collection mail, visit the centre and your documents would be there already. I am assuming you did not pay for courier. |
