A friend of mine cleared a 2011 highlander recently. The car was bought at $12100. It was cleared for about 1.6million


On his papers, the car was valued at $12100 x 313 = N 3,787,300
The 35% alone was N1,325,555

As such, there's no way to tilt the vehicle in the container to run atop each other

Do let us know the revised shipment method to allow us give you a tentative cost of clearing.

1) import duty=321k
2) shipping company =50k
3) agent charges = 20k
4) other charges=20k

The part I don't understand is the shipping company and other charges. Pls. Can u explain

I would advise you tell the agent to give you the the total amount that would get your vehicle cleared as this breaking down is usually a recipe to "oga see i paid more here so i nee more fund".
He/she should be ready to sign an agreement to not come back for more funds .
