@bigfido. Valid point but to give the earlier posters some credit, someone mentioned it and said spousal violence against any gender is bad.
I once heard of a woman that after beating the husband, she'll flush the car keys down the loo and the man will run out of the house. Imagine that

Hi Tolulope! I used Dr. W.F. too. For the Hosp, pre-payment was done over the phone after i had pre-registered. To pre-register you have to do that online. Google the Hosp's name and surf around it, you'll find where to pre-register;while i paid the Dr. at his office by swiping my card.

I hope this helps.

thank you, AdomMum...! yes.. this helps.. how you and your family?

Bigfido, any relationship that invloves abuse should be broken. simple! The reason it seems DV cases is an opportunity to bash men is because the greater percentage of the victims are women. If a man is being abused physically and he refuses to leave or speak out, it is often as a result of shame and not fear which is the case for women. As Happytbaby said, i grew my daughter's body from scratch, any man that touches her will visit the great beyond and return.

[quote author=bigfido post=49367840]sorry to take you guys back a bit, why is it that whenever domestic violence is being discussed, everybody keeps attacking the men and rarely does anyone talk about women

In the spirit of giving back,Am grateful to God and everyone. Renewed my visa via dropbox last year June, used it Dec last year and now sept 2016. Sent notification of intent to the embassy and got generic reply. Got PTA of 2000$ from stanbic @362.25 and 1100 from travelex @356,very slow process.
Travelled to Los angeles with BA,Lag-London trip was good but London-Lax trip was too far for me,abeg can't try it again.

I got to the CBP officer and the transcript went thus:

CBP: Why re u here?
Me: Childbirth and Vacation
CBP: Did you inform the embassy?
Me: I got my visa before I was pregnant and sent notification
CBP: How much do you have?
Me: 6600
CBP: Who is going to support you here?
Me: Mum will be coming Later
CBP: Will take you to another officer, don't like dealing with this.
Me: Ok. We got to the new CBP
CBP: how much will your delivery cost
Me: Around $8K
CBP: That's too cheap,i have 3 kids and I spent $35,000 on each delivery.
Me: Am paying cash that's why it's reduced.
CBP: Did you notify the embassy
Me: Yes,he collected a copy and checked the system to confirm
CBP: How much do you have
Me: 6600 in cash and the the rest in card
CBP: How can you just have 6600,took me to another room, guess its secondary inspection, sat down till they called my name.
CBP: Why re u here?
Me: childbirth
CBP: What do you do?
Me: told him
CBP: What does your husband do?
Me: Told him
CBP: How much do you have?
Me: showed him,he said keep it no need and I told him the remaining is in card
CBP: How long re u staying and ask for return ticket
Me:10 weeks and showed him a copy.
CBP: he said good and showed his colleague my passport and explained everything to him, His colleague told him this is not her first visa, she has been visiting and she has her cash and card.
That was how he finally stamped my passport.
My bags were not checked,I have settled down and had my appointment with Dr Mbagwu. Praying for a successful delivery.

Am Grateful for the Information I got here.

Many congrats @Teeteek, wishing u a safe delivery and a nice stay. Anyone else noticing that this LAX Poe is becoming more stringent by the day? As at part 1 of this thread, peeps entering through LA ever hardly any questions asked at Poe. The last two or three transcripts posted on here read like they could have been at Houston, hmmn.

Do you have any documented statistics to prove that the greater percentage of people abused in a relationship are females?
So any woman that violates your son emotionally or physically, even while knowing he is scared to talk, you will pamper?

You are not tackling the problem. You have broken it into segments. DV is DV, whether it is done by a man or a woman. So when you are raising your kids(male and female) instill virtuous qualities in them.

Hello beautiful Mama's and Papa's in the house!!!

Your candid advice on the following would be appreciate.

I am kinda new on this forum, have gone through most of the post in preparation for my interview nextweek..... but i need clarification on the following:

1)Can I use B1/B2 for the purpose of child birth?
2)Please what exchange rate can I use for my budget sheet?
3) I got correspondence from the hospital admin person who has been standing as an intermediary between I and my doctor; he also sent me a mail confirming my appointment with Dr. Jeanie, after I also got a mail from the hospital portal confirming my appointment with my doctor... The question is, the Chris guy i have been corresponding with is asking i pay $200 if i need a letter for the interview and also for POE.

Please is it advisable to pay the $200? can't i use those appointment letters sent to me through the hospital portal and also through the admin guy? My plan is to probably pay the $200 fee after i have gotten my visa... so i could get the letter for my POE.
4) I intend staying with my brother when i travel, does he need to notarize the letter he is to send to me confirming i will be staying with him?

Your inputs would be appreciated. Thanks

...I decided to process a visa but on calling AirFrance, they said baby can not fly with only a one way visa unless we buy a return ticket for both me and baby, since there's no proof that she's Nigerian. Please has anyone had this experience and how did you resolve it? Is there any advise on how I can handle this without getting a passport and not buying a return ticket for both of us? I can't go all the way to the states with Nigerian embassies.
Hello NaijaMama, sorry to bother you. Please how did you resolve this baby's visa versus return ticket issue with Airfrance? and did you pay just about 10% of your own ticket. Thanks

...I flew AirFrance at 35 weeks and 1 day. I was asked for Fit-to-fly by their officials at the airport in Lagos and I handed it over to them. I got it from my hospital.
Please did you get the fit-to-fly letter for up to 10k from your hospital? this is what my hospital charges and i'm wondering if it's not better to do just the one at port health (at the airport) which is way cheaper.

Don't mind them. All they shout here is DH DH. Most abuse their husbands verbally and emotionally. Oh only physical abuse is important and condemnable.

Nigerian women hate being beaten by their husbands or any man, but take joy in beating their maids! That is where men learn it.

After all living in fear is worse than in shame.

@Millzyte
1. B1/B2 is the visa for childbirth
2. How will you get your dollard? If you are fortunate to get from a bank, you can only get 4k. If you will get the rest from black market then I believe you should use that rate. For the black market rate, that will be your research.
3. If a hospital you intend to use is asking you for 200usd, then why won't you pay it if that's the policy? If you fail to pay and the embassy calls them to ask if you are registered, what do you think their answer will be? A lot of Nigerians get correspondence and then use other hospitals afterwards. The 200$ fee isn't a bad idea.
4. No. Your brother does NOT need to notarise anything
