Amhappy: Sneezing is just a sign that something is irritating her sinuses. You cant really medicate for that except it is caused by something like hayfever. The culprit could easily be dust. Get a saline nasal spray or drops and use for her It helps to lubricate the nasal passage. You could also use a damp cotton bud to clean the outter part of her nostrils (PLEASE DONT DIP IT IN HER NOSE OH) you can do this after her bath as water would have gotten in ther nostrils and it will be damp and easy to clean. With any antibiotic... if the cough is mild and is not caused by a bacterial infection... it is not going to do anything. Please dont medicate un-neccesarily with antibiotics. As you are likely to build up a resistance to it if you dont take the right does or complete it as instructed. If you get another infection.. the usual doses or meds may not work. Keep giving her fluids to lubricate her throat and let her cough... it is the body's way of removing unwanted things. If it is still persistent go see a peadiatrician, to listen to her chest and check her throat if they can. And when she clocks 3 months you can get her calpol cough syrup for babies or you can try the palm oil remedy if you want to. Just dip your lilttle finger in it and let her suck it off. 2 Likes |

Mrn mamas, how r our los n dhs, God bless our families always. So I tot we shld share some new born myths n laugh a little. 1. Brestmilk must not touch d p*nis of a boy. Wen I had my 1st Ds, mum told me dis, now my head told me it was crap, bt my heart dint want 2 take ny chances, omo I dey package my boobi wella wen am giving a diaper change even wit dis my new born Ds. 2. If eva baby falls 4rm ur back, make sure u fall wit d baby don't know how dat ll help d situation. Nd u must speak out o, don't hide it. In my mind i said wat d world dose not know cant b used against u. But i dont eva pray 4 dis o, cos d fear of head injuries n all is enough 2 b extra careful. God help us. 3. U know dat smile babies smile wen dey want 2 sleep off, don't smile back @ d baby, else d baby ll b a stammerrer Dont even know where I heard dis one 4rm. All I know is I find myself shouting @ dh don't smile back o, nd he ll just shake his head. Lastly, don't collect or give baby @ d door post. Yet 2 know d implications of dis. I know dey r all myths, bt I find myself obeying dem. What odas av u heard, pls share. Good mrn. 5 Likes 1 Share |

Re: NEW BORN BABIES! Are U A New Mum? Then Lets Discuss Babies Here!!!!! by AlphaHandMaiden(f): 1:16pm On Sep 15, 2016 |
rofemiguwa: For the daipers i would say only change if she is awake at nights or if it is for a poo. If she wakes for a feed, do a quick change before feeding her otherwise let her sleep and you sef sleep. You can do her last diaper change as late as possible i.e. just before her last feed of the day before she goes to bed and if she sleeps till day break, change it when she wakes up. Air her bum in the morning or during the day. |

Mumz, you got me rolling with laughter. The ones I can remember are * put a white thread on the baby's hair if he's hiccupping *if you baby dance in the afternoon, you will conceive an albino *if a baby looks at himself in the mirror he will become vain in future *if you want to go out and your baby suddenly starts crying non stop, that he's trying to prevent you from encountering an evil omen if you go out. *the first teeth that falls off should be thrown up the zinc if not it wouldn't grow again. Adeime: They are not free in govt hospitals. @mummide, the cord must be very thick. Pls keep it dry. By now it should be drying up little by little. My MIL says she puts powder for more drying effect though I have never tried it. |

teeteelardey: It's not lice o, it's cald cradle cap. Put a generous amt of baby oil on it den use comb 2 remove. Some mamas here also used nizoral (check spelling) shampoo 2 wash scalp. 1 Like |
