I bought zinc n castor oil ointment to rub.
My Mum said is becaus i now use one diaper for for night.dts why.
I use to change her like twice at night or atleast once but as she is growing she is becoming a light sleeper.once i open her diaper she wakes.vigil don start bi dat.

Pls any other mama experience same.do u changer ur babies twice at night too.

My 2months plus 2weeks daughter is sneezing and coughing. The cough is occasional but the sneezing is kind of frequent. A nurse recommended ampiclox drop but I just read about it online and cough was not mentioned. My mum think I should get ampicillin drop that it's mild since the cough is not serious. Experienced mamas I need ur input abeg. My I even wan try sugar and red oil but I'm not sure if it stops sneezing or only cough.

Sneezing is just a sign that something is irritating her sinuses. You cant really medicate for that except it is caused by something like hayfever.
The culprit could easily be dust.
Get a saline nasal spray or drops and use for her
It helps to lubricate the nasal passage.

You could also use a damp cotton bud to clean the outter part of her nostrils (PLEASE DONT DIP IT IN HER NOSE OH) you can do this after her bath as water would have gotten in ther nostrils and it will be damp and easy to clean.


With any antibiotic... if the cough is mild and is not caused by a bacterial infection... it is not going to do anything.
Please dont medicate un-neccesarily with antibiotics. As you are likely to build up a resistance to it if you dont take the right does or complete it as instructed. If you get another infection.. the usual doses or meds may not work.

Keep giving her fluids to lubricate her throat and let her cough... it is the body's way of removing unwanted things.

If it is still persistent go see a peadiatrician, to listen to her chest and check her throat if they can.

And when she clocks 3 months you can get her calpol cough syrup for babies or you can try the palm oil remedy if you want to. Just dip your lilttle finger in it and let her suck it off.

For the daipers i would say only change if she is awake at nights or if it is for a poo. If she wakes for a feed, do a quick change before feeding her otherwise let her sleep and you sef sleep.

You can do her last diaper change as late as possible i.e. just before her last feed of the day before she goes to bed and if she sleeps till day break, change it when she wakes up.


Air her bum in the morning or during the day.

Same wit my hubby o nd his younger ones. In fact one of my sis In law own is very obvious. I told him its cos dey smiled back @ dem wen dey were smiling in dia sleep. But dat smile is always enchanting, I keep reminding myself not 2 smile back.

* put a white thread on the baby's hair if he's hiccupping

*if you baby dance in the afternoon, you will conceive an albino

Na so e be o! When my son took his it was 17500*3 then. Some states like Ekitti and Edo have hospitals that give it free of charge! (I thought of migrating to those areas then sef to get it )

They are not free in govt hospitals.

@mummide, the cord must be very thick. Pls keep it dry. By now it should be drying up little by little.
My MIL says she puts powder for more drying effect though I have never tried it.

It's not lice o, it's cald cradle cap. Put a generous amt of baby oil on it den use comb 2 remove. Some mamas here also used nizoral (check spelling) shampoo 2 wash scalp.

Lice on a new born? From where? Is someone around you with Lice? Did you see the creepy crawlers? Abeg I've never heard of newborn having Lice before o! biko check properly to be sure or it might just be something else.
