The British are using Jackal SF vehicles. By every sense of the word, the Jackal or Al tharib is an SF vehicle. The fact they also use the Supacat doesn't negate the fact the Jackal is also an SF vehicle.

You know during op Savannah South Africans penetrated into Angola using every vehicle available. Civilian vehicle proved they were not rugged enough for long sustained ops.

Civilian off-road vehicles can be used for extended periods as they'll be carrying abnormal loads.

The vehicles used in that country are also unlikely to be ever retrieved. The bigger the force, the longer the tail.
