Corruption And The Audacity Of Patience Goodluck - By Gbenro Olajuyigbe by Nobody: 12:27am On Sep 17, 2016 |
That we suffered a collective national economic and social rape under the former President Goodluck Jonathan is sad. For Patience, his wife who has no known history of visible work or commerce to brazenly and boldly attempt to legally claim ownership of $31.4 milion, obvious proceed of corruption, in our increasingly volatile country induces a breath-taking psycho-economic depression into our national psyche. It did not only reveal the shocking ignorance of a thief who is merely validating her criminality; the audacity of the claimant calls into question EFCC’s investigative and prosecutorial prowess. In the same breath, it portrays our society as an unstandardized society moving toward a dialectical inequality in pursuant of justice. If not, Patience should have been on trial for corruption like her allies in crime that have been arraigned in court. Corruption is not only an economic crime. It is a crime that lays foundation for the commission of other crimes. http://saharareporters.com/2016/09/11/corruption-and-audacity-patience-goodluck-gbenro-olajuyigbe 48 Likes 3 Shares

Insightful post. Whoever is guilty of corruption should be disciplined but there should be no rationalizing of witch hunting unless we intend to mock ourselves. PEJ has not been found guilty by a court of law so why all this media crucifixion 33 Likes 3 Shares |

Trash. If she is corrupt, why not charge her. Are the likes Amaechi and Tinubu better than her? If your janjawiid president have the guts let him touch her. Efcc is a witch hunt and a tool to suppress opposition. 34 Likes 1 Share |

I will love to see how this plays out. Will she serve jail time or will the case be wept under the carpet and it returns to business as usual. I wonder how these guys sleep at night. I don't support corruption but why the media trial, crucifixion and hypocrisy? Let a competent court of law decide if she's guilty or not.If she's guilty let her face the music. what about Buratai,Danbazzu,Aishia Buhari and even the budget padding scandal? All swept under the rug.Why has the been silent on these issues? She has taken a firm stand and as thus I believe there is more to this case than meets the eyes. She is even taking the EFCC to court. Why is the EFCC afraid of taking this matter to court? Let us stop all this media propaganda and crucifixion until a competent court of law decides on a case. EFCC cannot be prosecutor, jury, judge and executioner. I strongly believe this case is geared towards divertion of attention of the populace. God bless Nigeria. P.S- For those of you claiming she cannot be charged to court because the cash was laundered,it's obvious you are oblivious of the rule of law. Can't she be charged as an accessory to the crime?since she boldly came out to say it belongs to her. Like I stated earlier, there is more to this than meets the eye. This case will be swept under the carpet once it has achieved its aim of instigating hate for the last administration and subtly making the populace blame them for the present economic crisis. Note that this case is coming up on the heels of the "change begins with me campaign" and as usual they need a negative mascot to help make this administration look good. 30 Likes 2 Shares |
