I don't support corruption but why the media trial crucifixion and hypocrisy?
Let a competent court of law decide if she's guilty or not.If she's guilty let her face the music.
what about Buratai,Danbazzu,Aishia Buhari and even the budget padding scandal? All swept under the rug.
She has taken a firm stand and as thus I believe there is more to this case than meets the eyes. She is even taking the EFCC to court.
Let us stop all this media propaganda and crucifixion until a competent court of law decides on a case.
EFCC cannot be prosecutor, jury, judge and executioner.
I strongly believe this case is geared towards divertion of attentioof the populace.
God bless Nigeria.

Insightful post.

Whoever is guilty of corruption should be disciplined but there should be no rationalizing of witch hunting unless we intend to mock ourselves.

PEJ has not been found guilty by a court of law so why all this media crucifixion

right now we've move frm crucifixion ,,,we'r marveled @ her audacity ...she talks as if she is one of those citizens claimin 2 b above d law or the country..
buhari really tryin so hard to filter GEJ ,,explains y dasuki case n others stil pending n inconclusive
as @ of now cruxifion is least of wat she shuld be facing,, wu launders legit money ??

PEJ has not been found guilty by a court of law so why all this media crucifixion

1. She cannot be found guilty by a court of aw because she has not been charged with any crime

2. She does not need to be found guilty for people to condemn her because she has already confessed to ownership of laundered money, the amount of which should ordinarily be beyond her means.

3. You must understand that the justice system is not, and is not meant to be the sole custodian of morality and justice in a society. Public opinion and the media exists as a powerful measure to check and balance any deficiencies in the judiciary and other arms of government(and you will probably agree with me that her in Nigeria we have quite a fe of these deficiencies).

what didn't she do?Has it been proven beyond reasonable doubt that she is not guilty?
Lets not defend some and leave some.
Has PEJ been proven guilty by a competent court of law?
I'm no supporter of corruption but I hate selective prosecutions.
Everyone that is guilty should face the music but let us not cast blind aspersions.
For PEJ to come out and boldly take a firm stand and even drag the EFCC to court shows that there is more to this than meets the eye.
I take everything this government does or says with a pinch of salt.

Please charge her to court and make sure you obey court rulings and orders (rule of law) while in the process then if found guilty, come and paint her any color you like and I 'll clap for you but until then, quit the media crucifixion except if the aim is to give your supporters something to feast on so the brazen hardship is not talked about for some time.

We can not afford or sustain a country where people draw inspiration from their own callous oppressors; a nation where thieves are heroes; and blood thirsty criminals are mentors! Ur words until you decided to go parochial. Investigate all former first lady not just PJ.ask your self how they finance there pet programs. In 2003 I know a gov that gave 100million naira to turai pet project. We all live way above our incomes, no one is innocent.for the past 40 years you have same actors on the political scene and u expect change, lie from the pit of hell.my brother shot up and mind your Biz.the nation is a fraud and you can only get fraudulent action from its citizen.

To a very high extent, I know that this administration's fight against corruption has imposed a high quality senseless attitude in most Nigerians especially the one who published this post.
Let me break it down, I have realized that it has been a crime to be wealthy.
Reason this, when an ordinary citizen can own more than that, then you talk about a presidents wife with so much influence and affluence.
I know poverty has been a stigma to some irrationalists, all because they don't know the product of investment.
I want someone to just invest 1 million naira into oil and gas industry then tell me what comes out.
Those who are rational know what i mean.
Patience Jonathan admitted the funds to be hers and you don't like it. What about the President that declared false assets. You covered the mess because you like him.
Please let us be truthful because you and i can be in such situation.
And it is a wrong mentality when you feel people should not get rich.
Use your heads even if the cash was stolen it won't affect the Nigerian economy in any way nor benefit you. And even recovered it will be Looted by the government again and again.

P.S- For those of you claiming she cannot be charged to court because the cash was laundered,it's obvious you are oblivious of the rule of law. Can't she be charged as an accessory to the crime?since she boldly came out to say it belongs to her.
Like I stated earlier, there is more to this than meets the eye. This case will be swept under the carpet once it has achieved its aim of instigating hate for the last administration and subtly making the populace blame them for the present economic crisis.

Note that this case is coming up on the heels of the "change begins with me campaign" and as usual they need a negative mascot to help make this administration look good.

Brilliant, are you part of this government how come you know them so well, and the media is our major problem in this country, they mislead us ,misinform us ,work for the highest bidder without any atom of patriotism, the only time they were useful was during the military, but now thank God for the Internet their influence has been diluted

The writer is doing so from self induced pain. It's all aimed at whipping up emotions.

The writer obviously don't know Mrs Jonathan. My point, she is not a poor woman. Politics aside.

Secondly, I didn't see this writer, write like this when we called for the prob of Buratai and minister dambazau.

This is the trick, when you ask them, they'll say they never supported them. That's a lie because, dambazau and Buratai are in power and a forthright writeup will go a long way in healing the system.

You can't keep quiet with the serving minister and CAS and pick up your pen because it's Jonathan. Something is wrong there. Even if no one asked you to write, you should know that you are being manipulated by forces stronger than you.

Now, if you ask the questions being asked about the Jonathans on those currently in power or connected to power, you see silence. It seems like a spell.

Let's be honest, these thing is BECOMING too much of a drama.

I'm I saying that patience Jonathan didn't get illicit money, NO. But it's the same for others.

If I say ask Tinubu were he got his monies or how did buhari fund his campaign, or I say let's prob Buratai. You get silence from the anti corruption crusaders.

Okay, what was Burutai's response? He saved the money. What was Mrs Jonathan's response, same thing.

If you believe Burutai and don't believe Jonathan or you keep quiet with Buratai and scream when it has to do with Jonathan, you are not objectives.. QED

WHO is a PRESIDENTS wife?

Bros you are not just ignorant but indeed you're the one suffering from poverty embellished mindset.

WHO is a governor?

Your problem is ignorance... it's people like you the OP was writing about, once u see a broke man suddenly driving a private flashy car months after becoming a councillor all u say is baba God pick up my own call.

While the white man begins gossiping asking hw he could afford the car...yes the whites are aproko, davido can testify. They are aproko because they care about themselves n the community they don't want a drug dealer, paedophile, robber/kidnapper, ritualist etc living in their neighbourhood.

It's not your fault even your pastors have programmed ya'll to not ask questions.

The reason that makes it difficult to prosecute patience and Goodluck Jonathan is because nothing has been done about others in their shoes. Prosecuting them will always be seen as witch hunting.

Solution... Let there be a level playing field for all.

I bet you the woman is very audacious. Even in the face of glaring case of official corruption Mama patience is still bold to make public her claims on illicit funds starched in her proxy account. I think the woman was part of former president's problem. She kept telling the man all is well when she knew that nothing was well . Now we can deduce the truth .
