GOV BELLO RELOCATES TO ABUJA WITH HIS AIDES, AS COURT CLARK DUPES HIM OF N2.5 BILLION

Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello has virtually relocated to Abuja with retinue of aides in his attempt to validate his mandate which was anchored on INEC guide line rather than on constitution, which has been the bone of contention at the judiciary arm of government .

It was gathered reliably that the embattled Kogi State governor relocated to Abuja ahead of next Tuesday Supreme Court judgement with his chief of staff, Edward Onoja, whom Kogites considered as the de facto governor, commissioners, local government administrators and a host of others.

He was said to have told a close aide that he may not return back to Lokoja for the business of governance until the verdict of the apex court sitting in Abuja on Tuesday over issues bothering on his emergence as the Kogi State governor.

However, facts at the disposal of KOGIWATCH has shown that the sudden relocation of Mr. Bello from Lokoja to Abuja with his aides may not be unconnected with alleged missing of a court clerk with N2.5b of his money.

It was gathered that a court clerk whose identity is still surrounded with secrecy was introduced to governor Bello to assist him to facilitate the said sum of money to certain agent in judiciary authority at Abuja.

The source stressed further that since the governor is in desperate need of helpers to crack the case in his favour, he keyed into the idea and the sum of N2.5b was allegedly given to the court clerk to do the needful.

It is said to the surprise of all that knew about the deal, that the court clerk cut off contact with Bello shortly after collecting the said sum of money from the governor's agent.

According to the source, Governor Bello relocated to Abuja to keep the trail of the run away court clerk and get his money back, besides trying to keep a tap on available links to switch victory in his favour.

It could be recalled that INEC, the umpire in the last governorship election in Kogi state declared Alhaji Yahaya Bello winner of the said election based on the commission's guide lines.

However, this decision drew the anger of Hon. James Abiodun Faleke, the running mate to Late Prince Abubakar Audu, the All Progressive Congress (APC), candidate and Captain Idris Wada, the People's Democratic Party (PDP), flag bearer in the said election.

Hon Faleke is saying the constitution has been breached by INEC declaring the election that has merited every constitutional requirements inconclusive, adding that INEC has erred in law and should be made to revert it and declare the election "conclusive" since it met all the requirements of the law associated with the election.

He averred further that since he is an "associate" party ticket holder with late Prince Audu, he remains the right person to replace him, not governor Bello.

In his own argument, Captain Idris Wada holds it that since the candidate that he contested with which has the highest votes cast in the election died, the said election should be cancelled or he should be declared winner of the election.

If a governor can give court Clark 2.5 billion naira, how much will he give the 5 or 7 supreme court judges that will deliver the judgement?

even though I am dissapointed at yahaya bello over negative reports trailing his leadership in kogi, I still find this news baseless. how can a Clerk ferry such huge amount of money easily and not caught? and how can the governor and his allies entrust such amount of money to a court clerk? even if he wants to bribe the judges and no doubt he will or might have done that, I don't think it will be through a court clerk.
