Meanwhile can any mama tell me what I can give my almost ten months old in place of milk? He has stopped taking milk both formula and bm? Just like that is it safe ok for his age not to have any milk at all? I use banana or pureed apple to sweeten his cereals without milk but I feel it's not sufficient

Today is the fourth day without a milk feed. Will be going to the hospital on Monday but I'd like to know if any mom has experienced this

Note he eats well any food I give him that doesn't have milk.

If she can acept soyabeans, it even beta dan formula. My do give my lo soyabeans bt i mix wt formula.
U hav 2 find a way of includin milk in hs meal. Milk is very esential 4 babies.

Wow. Pete to him. They say you can apply something from the freezer, even a very cold bowl but don't press too hard on the swelling, just use the cold thing to touch the swelling and leave it there for a few minutes.

Liftedhands, babies tend to refuse milk. It happens. My niece refused milk and even Cerelac and went straight to solids. Baby E refused milk and will take it added with cereal. You may want to consider looking up food substitutes, I don't know about Soy (there's a lot of back and forth about it), but there are other foods rich in Calcium and Vitamin D. We give Cheese (Mozzarella and Cheddar) when our pockets are feeling rich (usually from Shoprite or SPAR).

So, maybe your little thumbsucker may be a "black Bill Gates in the making" (Beyonce lyric ). Don't let it annoy you too much and just gently ease him out of it. Because he said the sibling who was gentlest with him about the matter is the one he really likes till now.

I've seen adult nail biters but never adult thumb suckers and in trying to stop something harmless in the long run, cause resentments and perceived notions about stuff.

By the way, when i was freaking out about not EBF, that same boy told me "don't sweat the small stuff. Breast milk is important but you being a good mum even more so and this is 6 months out of a lonnnnggg life". He's a smart boy.

I usually make scrambled eggs for him which he loves so today's own I decided to mix milk into the eggs and he ate it!! Problem is the milk is not formula but full cream Oldenburg milk he is too young for regular milk nah? So I made another with formula and he also ate so I guess it's fried milk from now on till he gets tired of it or starts taking his milk normal.

Though some mothers in the village start pap as early as 2months but that's due to ignorance. WHO says a child should be on bm or formula exclusively for the first 6months of life and American Paediatric Association says at least for the first 4months of life. So that's it

my boy had it too, very irritating thing especially when his hair use to fall out in chunks with his scalp(eeeewh),there was nothing I didn't do.well a woman later brought me some red flowers (Google red acalypha plant and see if its planted in your neighbourhood),I washed it and boiled,it was the water that I was using to bath him morning n night in less than 5 days,it disappeared(I couldn't believe it),then use coconut oil as the cream both on the hair ,allow the hair to dry before combing.

ok oo, i had 2 google d method and i found where it was stated dat d pap paste should b added to a boilin water and not d oda way round like normal pap.
I tried d method it later came out thick and pap like.

But d ish abt it is dat it wasnt gud 4 my lo, because as soon as d tin dy enter his mouth, na so he dy poo d tin dy comot. I had 2 stop feedin him n dscad d remainin.

Gues i ll hav to go bak 2 normal pap.
I ve jst wasted my time n efort 4 ntn.

For me I put back on fire to be properly done, same thing I do with normal pap.

No problem. My point is, please do it gently. Kids never forget stuff and a lot of things you guys may like about me, used to get me into all sorts of trouble as a child because everyone wanted me to conform and they kept trying to correct me in the harshest manner ever. Not trying to tell you how to parent, just showing you the other side of things.

Any good formula brand u like..,unsweetened yoghurt can also b added to d pap. U can evn add ur breast milk to d pap if u av very good flow.. Frm one year, babies can strt taking full cream milk
