Who is a Deacon and who is a Bishop? When you define that then go to 1 Timothy 3 : 1 - 14 and see the requirements for being one. When you are able to discern the requirements then answer the question yourself who is expected to lead. 1 Like |

chiefolododo: There is nothing like call is just a way of confusing people to have false prophets Paul said 1st Corinthians 14:34 Women should remain silent in the churches. They are not allowed to speak, but must be in submission, as the law says. |

God has never rebuked any woman for leadership role. DEBORAH WAS A PROPHET AND A JUDGE IN ISRAEL. God can decide to use anyone that pleases him (man or woman) - ACTS 10:34. I have attended a Church where a woman was a pastor and was greatly amazed of the presence of the holy spirit on the woman pastor. |

This is why i say you can not understand spiritual things with a carnal mind. pls pray for understanding before you read the bible. Maybe also take time to google or read about the local tradition of the ancient jews & the different tribes in the bible. Read Galatians 3 vs 23-to-29... 1 Like |

If by 'church' you mean a gathering of people practicing the Christian religion as registered by the CAC then you may ask the goveroent but if you mean a person or group of persons united with Christ then it is obvious. There was no seperate program of creation, man and woman have the same kind of soul, are subject to the same laws, will be judged by the same Word and will go to the same heaven. Where does the disparity come from if not the entity that seeks constant division and destruction of all God does. Man and woman are equal before God in all things. 1 Like |

kolaish: People like you needs to be very careful whenever you speak about God or religion, even though I'm a Muslim I still think Christianity should be strictly based on the Bible and not based on your so called personal ideology same way my ideology doesn't count in any religion but what always count is the original religious texts like the Bible for Christianity or Quran for Islam. Based on what you said above in the bold you're not even sure about what you're saying that was why you said Jesus(saw) "May not want controversy", you're really not so sure yourself, are you now telling us your faith is based on assumption? Let's say you're right for the sake of argument are you now saying Jesus(saw) was actually not in support of the Jewish Moses(saw) Laws that was before his arrival ? Then my last question to you is how do now explain this Bible verses below Matthew 5:17-20English Standard Version (ESV) Christ Came to Fulfill the Law 17 “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. 18 For truly, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot, will pass from the Law until all is accomplished. 19 Therefore whoever relaxes one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do the same will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever does them and teaches them will be called great in the kingdom of heaven. 20 For I tell you, unless your righteousness exceeds that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Note: I'm only quoting the direct word of Jesus(saw) but you on the other hand you're speaking based on your ideology. 1 Like |

This is a very good topic for discuss. Women are never allowed to be the head of the Church, they can hold leadership positions like being the treasurer, bible study teacher, leader of women fellowship etc, but to be the presiding pastor? Hell NO!. It is only in this dispensation of the so-called “pentecostal churches” which I prefer to call “new generation churches” you'll see such abnormaly. Checkout all old churches such as Catholics, Anglican, Ecwa, CCC, Methodist, CAC, TAC, etc, you'll never find a woman as the residing pastor of their parishes. |

Rajosh: Hhmmm are you in any way suggesting Paul was not inspired by the Holy spirit, God or Jesus - he only gave his opinion? If so then this voids the belief that the bible is the word of God or breathed inspiration by the Holy ghost. 1 Like |

900warriorz: If you cannot explain it simply then you don't understand it well enough - if you believe the part of the scripture you want and dismiss others then it's not the scripture you believe but yourself. It seems you are not comfortable with the obvious misogyny shown in these verses. 1 Like |

Re: Is It Right For A Woman To Head A Church? by Nobody: 7:20pm On Sep 18, 2016 |
All scripture is inspired by God and is useful for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, so that everyone who belongs to God may be proficient, equipped for every good work. (2 Tim 3:16-17) The moment you don't agree with any part, you implicitly deny the validity and authority of all Scripture. The chaos in christianity today is as a result of people running churches based on their feelings that coincide with Scripture and disregard what they do not like. I cannot agree with women leading ministries because it is what the Word of God says and I align with the God that inspired the Bible because God is NOT an author of confusion (1 Cor 14:33). Can a woman be my boss? certainly. Can she lead the country, Yes, certainly but NOT a church I would attend. Rajosh: 1 Like |

Something that is literal in meaning, you want to add esoteric interpretations to it. Is God the author of confusion? see 1 Cor 14:33 Or isn't all Scripture breathed by God anymore? see 2 Tim 3:16. osita456: 1 Like |
