Who diagnosed him of low blood sugar? Nan1 has enough nutrients suitable for a newborn, your wife should keep offering him the breast otherwise milk production will wane.

Get her a breastpump so she can express the milk into a feeding bottle and offer him till he gets used to latching on the breast.

Meanwhile follow the feeding guideline on the NAN1 to make sure he is getting enough food. For his age It's typically 2 or 3scoops of milk mixed in 60 or 90 ml of boiled cooled water, feed him every 3 hours while also breast feeding in between the formula feeds.

If she plans on doing exclusive her milk being established asap is important so get her the pump and make sure she takes in lots of fluid e.g plain water, uda pepper soup, moringa tea or capsule and fenugreek.

She also need plenty rest. Congrats on your new baby.

I did it in Qatar- just part of regular pregnancy checkup. I am not sure but maybe dy call it titer test in Nig. you can contact a lab(reliable ones) and tell them u want to do antibodies rhesus test- or ur doctor can recommend where to get it done -just to put ur mind at rest.

the thing is I was staying with DH at Bayelsa but I'll b giving birth at Abj.i left bayelsa wen I was already 36 weeks gone.i went to hospital to register again,but d did not accept me.so,i ended up registering at a private hospital.Dh said I wunt give birth in a private hospital becos we just lost a family friend n her baby in a private hospital while giving birth..a friend told me I can go to any of d general hospital n give birth but I'll b charged for unbooked delivery.just wnted to confirm if dats true

Sorry about the pain, It seems you have Mastitis (infection of the breast tissue). It's happens to breastfeeding mamas mostly.
For relief, you can apply warm compress on the breast. Also drink plenty of fluids.
Take paracetamol and also avoid wearing tight fitting bra and clothes.

If all these don't work, then you need to go to the hospital for the doctor to prescribe antibiotics for you.

Sorry for the discomfort, that's the process albeit uncomfortable to ask a pregnant woman to fast just to determine your blood glucose levels. Maybe he detected some in your urine? You can call your office and tell them you'll be coming in late hopefully they'll understand.

Abuja govt hospital will not take ur delivery or charge u extra so long as u didn't register with them. a woman who was in labour was rushed to asokoro general hospital, they refused to attend to her cos she didn't register for ANC with them. she ended up birthing in a private hospital. u must register with them, if u come in while in labour they will send u away. only private hospitals will accept u and charge u extra. what's ur location? there are good private hospitals in Abuja, don't take because of what happened to a family friend to judge all private hospitals, people also die in government hospitals . my neighbor lost his wife and son in a govt hospital.
